Been thinking about the excessive push to wear face masks (in the UK they will be mandatory to travel on public transport from June 15th). One of the reasons I came up with is that current facial recognition used by good people is perhaps not designed to account for masks.

Whilst i’m sure our side will get round this problem quickly, in the meantime it allows their operatives to move around unnoticed more easily (presuming they are not carrying mobiles).

This makes sense also (especially) within protests. Antifa used to mark themselves out by wearing masks. Now everyone is ‘masked’, making their infiltration into large crowds a hella of a lot easier.
