They don't realize what's happening with these protests. They see some clips on TV and don't realize that the shots they're shown are just the peaceful ones. Meanwhile, about two blocks away, the thugs and rioters lay waste to businesses. It's so well coordinated, and the sheep are too damn brainwashed to even think of questioning what they're seeing.
