Sound familiar? Wasn't this the "OTHER" [planned] scenario from GATES?

Genetically modified mosquitoes could be released in Florida and Texas beginning this summer – silver bullet or jumping the gun?

This summer, for the first time, genetically modified mosquitoes could be released in the U.S.

On May 1, 2020, the company Oxitec received an experimental use permit from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to release millions of GM mosquitoes (labeled by Oxitec as OX5034) every week over the next two years in Florida and Texas. Females of this mosquito species, Aedes aegypti, transmit dengue, chikungunya, yellow fever and Zika viruses. When these lab-bred GM males are released and mate with wild females, their female offspring die. Continual, large-scale releases of these OX5034 GM males should eventually cause the temporary collapse of a wild population.

However, as vector biologists, geneticists, policy experts and bioethicists, we are concerned that current government oversight and scientific evaluation of GM mosquitoes do not ensure their responsible deployment.

Genetic engineering for disease control

Coral reefs that can withstand rising sea temperatures, American chestnut trees that can survive blight and mosquitoes that can’t spread disease are examples of how genetic engineering may transform the natural world.

Genetic engineering offers an unprecedented opportunity for humans to reshape the fundamental structure of the biological world. Yet, as new advances in genetic decoding and gene editing emerge with speed and enthusiasm, the ecological systems they could alter remain enormously complex and understudied.

Recently, no group of organisms has received more attention for genetic modification than mosquitoes – to yield inviable offspring or make them unsuitable for disease transmission. These strategies hold considerable potential benefits for the hundreds of millions of people impacted by mosquito-borne diseases each year.

Although the EPA approved the permit for Oxitec, state approval is still required. A previously planned release in the Florida Keys of an earlier version of Oxitec’s GM mosquito (OX513) was withdrawn in 2016 after a referendum indicated significant opposition from local residents. Oxitec has field-trialed their GM mosquitoes in Brazil, the Cayman Islands, Malaysia and Panama.

The public forum on Oxitec’s recent permit application garnered 31,174 comments opposing release and 56 in support. The EPA considered these during their review process.

2 of the police officers charged over George Floyd's deadly arrest had been less than 4 days into the job, their lawyers say

Attorneys for two of the police officers involved in George Floyd's fatal arrest say they had been on the job for less than a week, and both had expressed concern for how Floyd was being taken into custody on May 25.

Video showed Derek Chauvin, a senior police officer, kneeling on Floyd's neck for more than eight minutes while he said he couldn't breathe. Two other officers, J. Alexander Kueng and Thomas Lane, held down Floyd's back and feet respectively, while another officer, Tou Thao, stood near his head.

Kueng, 26, and Lane, 37, appeared in court on Thursday where their lawyers made arguments in a failed attempt to get their bail lowered. The judge had set unconditional bail to $1 million apiece, and $750,000 apiece with conditions.

Both men, alongside 34-year-old Thao, were charged on Wednesday with aiding and abetting second-degree murder, and aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter.

The three officers turned themselves into police a week after they were fired from the force. Chauvin, 44, was arrested on charges of third-degree murder and manslaughter. Prosecutors have since upgraded Chauvin's murder charge to second-degree murder.

According to local news station WCCO, Kueng's attorney, Thomas Plunkett, said he was only on his third shift as a police officer when Floyd's arrest happened. Lane's attorney, Earl Gray, said it was his fourth day as a police officer.

However, previously released police records say that the two men were made full officers in December, according to The Associated Press.

Attorneys for both men said that they raised their concerns during the arrest.

Gray said Lane had asked Chauvin twice if they should flip Floyd onto his back, and was told no. Lane also said he worried Floyd might be in a state of delirium, Gray said.

"What was my client supposed to do but follow what his training officer said? Is that aiding and abetting a crime?" Gray asked.

Plunkett said his client, Kueng, told fellow officers "you shouldn't do that," as they were detaining Floyd, NBC News reports.

Plunkett added that Kueng became a police officer because he "wanted to make his community a better place." Kueng was raised by a single mother on Minneapolis' predominantly black north side.

Thao's attorney did not argue about the allegations against his client in court on Thursday. Thao had been on the force since 2008, and Chauvin had been a police officer since 2001.

Kueng, Lane, and Thao's next court appearance is scheduled for June 29. It's unclear when Chauvin will next be in court.

The four men have not entered pleas yet. If convicted, all four could face up to 40 years in prison each.

Floyd's death has prompted thousands of people across the country to protest for the Black Lives Matter movement.

German police say Madeleine McCann is dead

Madeleine McCann, the British girl who disappeared in Portugal in 2007 aged just three, is dead, a German prosecutor said Thursday (June 4).

He identified an imprisoned German child abuser as the prime murder suspect.

McCann vanished from her bedroom during a family holiday in the Algarve. Her parents were dining with friends nearby in the resort of Praia da Luz.

Her disappearance sparked an international search, with many false leads and claimed sightings of the girl over the 13-year hunt.

This appears to be the most significant breakthrough yet.

The suspect, who wasn't named, is German, 43 years old, and lived near Praia da Luz at the time. He burgled hotels and holiday flats and dealt drugs, police said.

They believe he made a spontaneous decision to kill the little girl during a break-in of the holiday apartment.

This was prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters:

(SOUNDBITE) (German) BRAUNSCHWEIG STATE PROSECUTOR, HANS CHRISTIAN WOLTERS, SAYING:

"The accused has multiple previous convictions of sexual crimes. He had already been sentenced for sexual abuse of children. He is currently serving a longer prison sentence for other offences. Between 1995 and 2007 the accused regularly lived on the Algarve, among other places for some years in a house located between Lagos and Praia da Luz."

German police said they'd worked out how McCann was murdered, though no body has been found.

British police are still calling it a missing person inquiry.

Madeleine's parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, said in a statement they'd never give up on finding their daughter alive.

But whatever the outcome, quote, "we need to know, as we need to find peace."

GMO Mosquitoes has to be the DUMBEST SHIT EVER to come up with, and act like it's a GOOD THING.

Unfuckingbelievable that anyone, (whose not in on it) would go along with this, and not see this as SHEER FUCKERY.
