OK, I'm sure it must have been noted by now but the time stamp on Mr. S, (the man) tweet was hours ahead of East Coast time.

Did I miss this, did they leave last night?

I guess I just don't want to say out loud what I'm thinking because whatever Dan does is usually veyr well calcualted, he is a dashing master (oh I'm not impartial about him so I'll shut up).

Anyway, big reveal in the time code of the tweet of the Good Man Dan!

what did my bud say they were taking liberties, you know how construction can be. I mean it was later in the day and they'd been at it. the storm is cooling. So if you're up in the parts that need work, however, in all the gear. They were at a railroad track.

and they should have broken off for the day, but it's a forest so the storms sneak up on you. If you start to hear the rolling thunder from far off, later in the day, you're at the part where you're being beast of burdan, not thinking too much when you're hauling, but thinking.

and BOOM

it's when you hear the BOOM right when the thunder hits that you know it's ontop of you!

the bolt supposedly went horizontal at that point, following the railroad track off to whereever that lead, and they were all three shaken, but still living and breathing.

this is a story of a friend.

when you hear the thunder BOOM at the same time you see the lightning . . is how that should be edited to get it correct.

I was watching an LA TV show (a drama) and they had a dramatic scene where every flash of lightning would boom just as it hit, but that isn't how real storm work unless the lightning hits near you, you usually hear it after the flash.

OH PS: if you hear thunder and it's lightning outside, it's really really wise to go inside.

An automobile is a great place to be when there is lightning about, be inside with the window rolled up.

The rain gets so hard and it turns to hail and the lightning rains down.

that's just another day on the East Coast in the Summer.

I can see it now, Our President lands his helicoptor on a pad on a roof and then comes down to Central Park on a Zip line in a predential next generatioin Manhattan transportation sensation bubble gondolla that floats and lands and gives us all jobs building and servicing the next transportation revolution . . .

it can tether onto a carrier.

it can drift over a great fishing spot for the angler.

It can land in the water, and convert to a sail boat (you need that model)

it has safety bubbles

it can't hurt anyone so there is no insurance costs . . .

The logistics of getting to Washington today are enormous. You can't just jump in your car and get a room at a cheep hotel on line and expect there to be a room for you.

and then when you get there unless you knw how to negotiate the transportation system, forget it.

so someone from Ohio, or New England, who could reasonably be there in 10 hours, can't really just jump and go, like it's an unannounced tour stop for your favorite band and got the ticket waiting.

what will you do when you get there? Where wiill you park your vehicle?

But there are I am sure enough who know well enough the region that they'd just go. They' d be like 'It is our city, let's go and walk around in it.'

and they would be right because they know what to do to negotiate all the pitfalls of the city.

the liberals have made it a nightmare for day tripping in the city. I used to treat it like a rest area on the highway and pull in for three or four hours, walk around, and move on. And that was why it was so cool, becuase it was so easy.

but once Obama became the kang, the city was harder to deal with.

It's an easy place to visit in normal times, even if you have an automobile. but the new regime will target you with camera tickets even if you aren't breaking any laws. I don't need that kind of hassle.

But I'd go. And if they gave me a ticket, I'd fight it.

I understand now.

sorry for the confusion. I thought it was a screen cap that Dan had posted himself to his twitter that capped the time into a photo graph but you're explanation is obvious what it really is.
