What if it's not just their symbolism, but ours too?

If they deface the monuments, harm the White House, other acts like that, that would rally a good portion of the country.

Monuments and the like are a reminder of history. They seem to feel that history has to be wiped out. History reminds us of the good and the bad. But also, do the reminders of the civil war have to be wiped out to wipe out the Democrats history of injustice? Does Abraham Lincoln present a reminder they lost once before? Is the Iwo Jima monument a reminder of what this country can do?
