About one in 11 New Yorkers have had a recent battle with depression, according to the findings in a first-of-its-kind city survey released Friday.

 

9% of Big Apple adults said they had a bout of depression in 2016, according to the study released by the Health Department.

 

Latinos had the highest rate of reported depression at 13% — nearly twice the rate suffered by white people, at 7 percent.
