syria is a strategic choke-point in the middle east as well as the location of multiple oil pipelines and oil fields. I don't see Israel being wiped out at this point but I do see Damascus becoming uninhabitable as prophesied.
At some point Israel will be attacked and they will lose 2/3 ? of their citizens… which will mainly be those of the synagogue of Satan. At which point those who have the Promise will be able to reclaim the Promised Land.
