What Ilhan Omar omitted in her tweet was the actual reasons why she promoted Hormuud, the identity of the people that facilitated her 2011 and subsequent trips to Somalia, and their agendas. In any case, people who dug, and who double checked and cross checked as is standard practive for police detectives and investigative journalists, quickly found the source of the image, both the photgrapher who photographed it in Chicago the day before it appeared in two Milwaukee newspapers, and the Chicago artist who made the poster and tweeted the date she had it at the parade. The date of the tweet was irrelevant to the results which were that the British copper who guessed that there was a date discrepancy was wrong.
Happens all the time. There are technical details of systems that need to be learned.
In addition, you always need to open two lines of inquiry. One to prove that you theory is right.
The otherto prove that your theory is wrong.
