Yeah looks that way, but the US was meant to break up into 2 countries during the civil war, it was meant to get slaughtered like all the other nations in WW1/2, and it was meant to be destroyed in WW3 which never happened and doesn't look like it's going to.

Think what would of happened had the US split after the civil war, north and south would've both been pulled into WW1 and slaughtered and both countries would be non players on the world stage.
