The Whiskey Rebellion was in 1794, long before 1807. Washington led troops to Bedford, Pa, and stayed in Bedford, while sending the troops on to quell the Rebellion. My 5th great Grandfather lived in Providence, Bedford, PA and was recognized and honored by Washington, having saved his life in the Battle of Brandywine. He, too, was part of the Whiskey Rebellion. They were mostly fined. Not many were actually jailed.

They just wanted to be left in peace to do their business. You seem to be skipping over the part where I said - "Washington recognized and honored him" - it was all there in his obituary. He was one of Washington's Life Guards, and helped secure the founding of this great country. Yes. He was a Patriot. As am I.
