Revelation 9:11 has utterly nothing to do with any deep ocean place on earth, and it has nothing to do with your science fiction fantasies.
The context is BABYLON and the Harlot as contrasted to the Bride of Christ which is His Congregation. While the Bride is pure and a virgin, not an adulteress against Christ and His Testimony, which is the Spirit of all Prophecy (of the Old Testament); the Harlot is the antithesis, the adulteress who has defiled the Testimony of Christ by adding men's doctrines and traditions because she and her followers love not the truth. For that reason she and her followers are released to great delusion to be destroyed. The Harlot and her followers disobey this:
21 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, He is there!’ do not believe it.
22 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Mark 13
The Harlot does the exact opposite. She is saying, Here is Christ! She is holding out an object claiming it is Christ.
Christ said never to follow such.
The context of the abyss therefore is exactly that of which Paul warned:
9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,
10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thes. 2
