There is no such thing as innate ability, a hard work ethic or god-given talent. Any success is due to "privilege".
It follows then, that any gains should be shared because you took those gains from other people who could have done the same thing if they had the "ins" you had. If you don't want to share, we'll just take it, because it's part ours anyway.
Same excuses losers have used since, like forever. Easier than admitting you're (the loser him/herself) a fuck up and it makes you sound intellectual, therefore deserving but cheated.
