Sounds like the profile of a comic book villain
When they "break things down into their parts" to analyze - that's what gives them the opportunity to make up a narrative; "evidence based" medicine; ignore common sense - It all depends on what you put into your data field for analysis; So allegedly "breaking down to parts" sometimes ignores the working of the whole; or at least gives the opportunity for that.
it's what they select for analyisis that makes all the difference.
purdue did something like that "analysis" by modeling where they showed something on a computer visual which is impossible in reality; yet claimed this proved something.
Economists are known for this too; mathematical models with no relation to data of the real world.
