While I've had my disagreements with Sowell in the area of foreign policy, he dedicated his whole life to trying to expose the lies of the left with respect to race and civil rights. For many years, he was one of the few black voices pushing back against the narrative, and did so in spectacular fashion. He always knew what they were trying to do, and I feel sad that, in the final years of his life, he has to watch this, though he may be heartened by the fact that we are seeing some black leaders on the left starting to wake up to the madness (see Tucker).
We haven't heard much from him in recent years, his voice is quietly fading, but not his message.
