US Attorney: Man charged in connection to arson at Third Precinct

A St. Paul man has been charged in connection to the arson at the Minneapolis Police Department's Third Precinct.

Monday, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced it charged 23-year-old Branden Michael Wolfe with aiding and abetting arson.

A fire at the Minneapolis Police Department's Third Precinct on May 28 followed rioting that occurred after the death of George Floyd, a black man who died while in the custody of the Minneapolis Police Department.

According to a criminal complaint, police were called on June 3 to the Menards in St. Paul after they received a report that a person with police equipment was trying to get into the store. The person was later identified as Wolfe.

Air Force sergeant ID’d as suspect in 'ambush' killing of California deputy

A suspect facing first-degree murder charges in Saturday’s shooting death of a California sheriff’s deputy is an active-duty sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, authorities said Sunday.

The 32-year-old suspect, Steven Carrillo, was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in Northern California. He was shot during his capture in Santa Cruz County and was being treated in a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

Carrillo is accused of fatally shooting Santa Cruz County Deputy Sgt. Damon Gutzwiller, 38, in what authorities have described as an ambush attack in Ben Lomond, an unincorporated town of about 6,000 residents in the Santa Cruz Mountains, south of the San Francisco area.

Two other law enforcement officers were injured in the incident, including a California Highway Patrol officer wounded by gunfire.

Numerous leftists are claiming that unnamed racists affiliated with the “far right” are responsible for much of the rioting that has taken place in cities across the United States since the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. For example, Peggy Flanagan, the Democratic lieutenant governor of Minnesota, has accused such “white supremacists” of “burning down the institutions that are core to our identity and who we are” – and of thereby making it more difficult for people of good will “to come together … and mourn and grieve and demand change and justice in policing and every other racist system that we have that has been part of this state.”

Meanwhile, a number of reporters at CNN are likewise promoting the claim that “white supremacists” are responsible for the riots. The Chicago Tribune similarly asserts that “experts who track extremist groups” have “reported seeing evidence of the far-right at work.” And BET.com cites “the covert members of white supremacists’ groups using George Floyd’s death as an opportunity to infiltrate and derail the movement for justice.”

But there is little to suggest that these claims are anything other than attempts to divert attention away from the very solid evidence that the far-left, Marxist-anarchist Antifa movement is heavily involved in the rioting. As Fox News has reported: “Antifa sent the word out far and wide to burn buildings, loot stores, destroy cars and attack law enforcement officers.” And Antifa members – who often travel from far-flung locations to meet up with their allies in sites that have been pre-selected for rioting – have coordinated their violent efforts in a very organized way.

Citrus Heights Homes Displaying American Flags Targeted By Arsonists

CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) — Police are investigating a string of arsons, targeting Citrus Heights homes with American flags on display.

At least four homes were targeted in the Sungarden neighborhood early Saturday morning. So far, police say they don’t know the motive.

A charred pole is all that’s left of the American Flag that had been flying outside Marie Nuzzi’s home.

“If it had burned longer it would have caught the house on fire,” Nuzzi said. “Somebody’s lives, for what?”

The fire was set at about 3 a.m. Saturday morning and burnt out before reaching the house where Nuzzi and three other family members were sleeping inside.

FDA Misled Senators on China’s Role as Vital U.S. Drug Supplier

The Food and Drug Administration had to walk back testimony by an official at a Senate hearing last week after he downplayed the scale of China’s dominance of the drug supply chain in the U.S.

The issue has come to the fore as the pandemic has prompted some in Congress and the Trump administration to question China’s role as the global supplier of key ingredients. The FDA says it’s able to police the safety of the U.S. drug supply regardless where it comes from, even as it’s had to suspend on-site inspections due to the virus.

In answering a question from Senator John Cornyn, a Texas Republican, on how much of the active pharmaceutical ingredients, or API, in drugs in the U.S. are made in China, Douglas Throckmorton, deputy director for regulatory programs in the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, said “for active pharmaceutical ingredients, the U.S provides about 28%, China about 13% and India 18%.”

Belgian City Removes Statue of Longest Serving King After it Was Defaced Black Lives Matter Protesters

Will likely end up in a museum as petition by migrant teenager calls for all statues to be toppled.

After Black Lives Matter protesters in the Belgian city of Antwerp defaced a statue of King Leopold II, Belgium’s longest-reigning monarch, authorities removed it and said it will be put in a museum.

The statue, which was situated in front of a church, was daubed with paint by demonstrators, prompting its removal by local authorities.

However, according to Johan Vermant, a spokesman for Antwerp’s mayor Bart de Wever, the statue will not be returned to its original position after restoration and will instead likely end up in a museum.

“Because of the renovation work planned for 2023 in the square in which it was placed, the statue will not be replaced. It will probably become part of the museum collection,” said de Wever.

BLM leader says group developing highly trained "military" arm for "war on police"

A Black Lives Matter leader in New York revealed in an interview with the Daily Mail that the activist group is developing a highly trained "military" arm to lead the "war on police."

Hawk Newsome, chairman of BLM's Greater New York chapter, said the organization has military Special Forces officers training and advising members who will "patrol" black communities and challenge law enforcement.

Newsome said:

"We are preparing and training our people to defend our communities … We are prepared to stop these government sanctioned murders by any means necessary.

Cops Caught Slashing the Tires of Journalists’ Parked Cars—For “Safety”

Minneapolis, MN — On Sunday, the majority of council members on the Minneapolis City Council announced their plans to disband the entire police department and replace it with something more community oriented. The move comes after officers killed George Floyd and were not immediately held accountable and the multiple criminal acts Minneapolis cops have carried out since that day. As the following video below of cops slashing tires shows, cops in Minnesota have no problem giving the public reason after reason to fire them all.

Several videos have surfaced that appear to show cops in military-style uniforms slashing the tires of several cars. Mother Jones compiled the various videos and posted them in an article on Monday. Adding to the egregious nature of such an act of vandalism is the fact that many of the cars belonged to journalists covering the protests.

In the videos, officers are seen in a K-Mart parking lot and a highway overpass which were both used as parking areas for protesters during the beginning of the unrest. Mother Jones contacted the owner of the grey car in the video below, which was a rental belonging to Luke Mogelson, a New Yorker writer who typically covers war zones and is now stationed in Minneapolis to write about the protests.

Skripals Relocate to New Zealand Following Russian Poisoning Attempt – Reports

Former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia have relocated to New Zealand two years after suffering a near-fatal poisoning attempt that Britain pins on Russia, The Sunday Times reported Sunday.

Sergei, 68, and Yulia, 35, were exposed to military-grade nerve agent Novichok in the British city of Salisbury in March 2018.
