“There’s nothing wrong with peacefully assembling to let your grievances known,” Fitton states – “but you don’t have a right to commit insurrection, you don’t have a right to assault the white house complex.” Fitton continues in addressing the pervasive lawlessness of today’s nation-wide rioting and political chaos, exemplified by the case of Washington, DC where the Mayor “is resisting law enforcement efforts, and is attacking the President for insisting on the rule of law in the nation’s capital.” To be clear:

“The President is being attacked for trying to suppress the insurrection in Lafayette Park. For highlighting the ability of the POTUS under the Insurrection Act, and the Constitution to intervene when necessary to protect the safety of citizens.

What’s more, in criticizing the President, “the ‘Antifa’ [mainstream] media is justifying violence and supporting insurrection.” Fitton affirms. “Their leftist allies are out there rioting using violence to achieve political results,” he continues. Don’t be fooled, “they are getting results, you see reports of police agencies changing policies – but it has nothing to do with public safety.”

Far from acting in the interests of justice for George Floyd, “ANTIFA see the Floyd case as a vehicle to overturn the nation, they’re communist revolutionaries.” Exploiting national unrest, “they’re using violence to affect policy change” – and officials across the country are not reacting appropriately to the situation in Fitton’s words.

To date, “the Attorney General of Minnesota, Keith Ellison – a radical leftist tied to ANTIFA directly, has taken over the prosecution of the officers involved in Floyd’s death.” Adding to the original charge of third degree murder, Ellison has increased the severity of the charges, which “may seem good.. but might mean that the charges may not stick.” In other words, “Ellison made a political decision that will result in Chauvin possibly not being convicted as a result.”

“If you want justice for George Floyd, you may not get it with this radical prosecution,” Fitton concludes. Moreover, with radical policy recommendations made “under the guise of controlling the police,” (some have suggested defunding it altogether), leftists in Minnesota and elsewhere are “making their communities less safe.”

Ultimately, in order to re-establish the rule of law, Fitton suggests that the President should “federalize the [DC] police force and continue to assert his authority under the Constitution to protect the public safety”

Not for Jews, not for Muslims, not for Christians, not for Hindus, not for Sikhs. Not for any of God’s Children. History’s greatest horror, the Holocaust, must never be repeated.”

Additional speakers at the event included Elan Carr (US Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism), Sam Brownback (US Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom) and Ahmed Shaheed (UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Belief and Religion). During the event, al-Issa was honored with an inaugural award for his contribution towards fighting antisemitism.

Al-Issa condemned hate crimes across the world, including the spate of recent attacks against Jews. “Your community has tragically been the target of several terrorist attacks. In Pittsburgh; in San Diego; in Munsey, New York; in Halle, Germany. I condemned each and every one of these horrible assaults upon humanity. As if they were attacks on Muslims,” he said.

Sacha Roytman-Dratwa, director of the Combat Anti-Semitism Movement said that the way to defeat antisemitism is by working together. “At a time when Iran’s spiritual leader calls for the destruction of the Jewish state, the Sheikh’s statements condemning the hatred of Jews are of particular importance, especially given the scrutiny he often faces,” Roytman-Dratwa said.

Combat Anti-Semitism is a non-partisan grassroots movement of individuals and organizations, across religions and faiths that works to ending antisemitism in all its forms.

Distraught Chicago officials heard on tape fuming over looting, riots: 'My ward is a s–t show'

Distraught Chicago officials complained to Mayor Lori Lightfoot as looting and rioting in response to George Floyd’s death swept through the Windy City pleading for help and warning that the vulnerable had lost access to food and medicine.

According to a tape obtained by WTTW News of an online conference call among the city’s 50 aldermen and the mayor, one alderman could be heard weeping while others angrily decried what was going on in the city.

“My ward is a s–t show,” one alderman says. “They are shooting at the police.”

After the death of Floyd in police custody last month, riots and protests broke out in cities across the country, with many being overwhelmed by the scale of the looting and violence – even though largely peaceful protests have returned to the streets after that initial surge of unrest.

The call in Chicago was held Sunday, May 31. That day alone, there were 699 arrests primarily looters 132 officers injured, 48 shootings and 17 homicides, according to CBS Chicago, as well as widespread damage to businesses and other property.

One alderman asked how seniors and vulnerable populations were supposed to get medicine and food if “every CVS, every Walgreens is shutting down.”

“How do businesses recover and why would they want to recover in our community?” another is heard asking.

Lightfoot herself recognized what she described as a “massive, massive problem.” Earlier she described rioters as just f-g lawless right now.”

“I don’t know about you, but I haven’t seen s–t like this before, not in Chicago,” Lightfoot said.

It's a sign of just how shocked and overwhelmed city officials across the country were by the rioting. Many cities imposed curfews in response, which eventually helped reduce the outbreaks of crime. Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, on Lightfoot's request, called in the National Guard to help deal with the crisis.

On the call, others took aim at Lightfoot herself for her response to the crisis. One man, identified by WTTW News as Ald. Raymond Lopez, demanded that Lightfoot develop a plan to stabilize Chicago’s neighborhoods for five days, calling his Southwest Side ward “a virtual war zone” where armed gang members were threatening to shoot black people.

When he demanded she respond to the remarks, Lightfoot told him he was “100 percent full of s–t.”

“Well, f–k you then,” Lopez responded.

Likud threatens elections if Gantz post nixed

Both Likud and Blue and White called on the court to rule as soon as possible.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud warned the High Court of Justice on Tuesday that if it disqualifies the Alternate Prime Minister Law that facilitated the formation of the government, elections would be initiated immediately.

The law created the post of alternate prime minister that is currently filled by Blue and White leader Benny Gantz and is set to shift to Netanyahu in November 2021.

In its response to a Movement for Quality Government petition asking for the bill’s disqualification, the Likud reminded the court that the coalition agreement guarantees elections if the High Court would overturn the bill. The response said that Likud and Blue and White had agreed on a series of bills and overturning any of them would upset that balance.

“Accepting the petition would almost certainly result in the unraveling of the agreements, decisions and compromises and force an additional election,” the Likud wrote the court.

Netanyahu’s party stressed that because the bill was passed as a basic law, the court had no authority to overturn it.

“This authority belongs solely to the nation, via its elected officials,” the Likud wrote.

Both Likud and Blue and White called on the court to rule as soon as possible.

In its petition, the Movement for Quality Government said the bill was illegal.

“It changes the basic structure of governments in Israel,” the movement wrote. “Prime Minister Netanyahu is misusing the laws passed to avoid prosecution, while Gantz is misusing the laws because of his lack of trust in Netanyahu.”

Decades of Lax Oversight Allow Chinese Telecoms to Conduct Espionage in U.S.

Congressional investigation finds Chinese telecoms have been spying with impunity

Chinese state-owned telecommunications firms are operating with little U.S. oversight and using their access in America to conduct espionage operations on behalf of the Communist Party, putting the personal information of millions of Americans at risk, according to a new congressional report.

Multiple Chinese telecom firms have operated in the United States with "little-to-no oversight" from government agencies for the past 20 years, the Senate's Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations disclosed on Tuesday in a new report. These companies are permitted near-total penetration of American communications networks and have used this access to collect data on millions of Americans, including military members and those working in sensitive government posts.

Only in the past year has the federal government begun to take a closer look at these firms, including China Telecom Americas, China Unicom Americas, and ComNet—all Communist Party-owned firms that have been operating with impunity since the early 2000s. The Senate's yearlong investigation concluded that the Federal Communications Commission failed to perform proper oversight on these companies, allowing them to collect data on scores of Americans. With the Chinese government exerting total control over these companies, it is likely these data are being used for nefarious purposes, the report warns.

China's espionage operations in America have received renewed scrutiny in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to the telecommunications sector, Beijing has stolen information from the U.S. scientific community, academic institutions, and the government itself. The Senate report is part of a larger effort by Congress to expose these spy operations and enact policies meant to stop them.

"This bipartisan report demonstrates that federal agencies have done little to protect the integrity of U.S. telecommunications networks and counter national security threats from China," Sen. Rob Portman (R., Ohio), chair of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, said in a statement. "The Chinese Communist Party uses its state-owned enterprises to further its cyber and economic espionage efforts against the United States, and they've been exploiting our telecommunications networks for nearly two decades while the federal government historically put in little effort to stop it."

Why Sweden Has Already Won the Debate on COVID ‘Lockdown’ Policy

As Europe and North America continue suffering their steady economic and social decline as a direct result of imposing ‘lockdown’ on their populations, other countries have taken a different approach to dealing with the coronavirus threat. You wouldn’t know it by listening to western politicians or mainstream media stenographers, there are also nonlockdown countries. They are led by Sweden, Iceland, Belarus, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. Surprisingly to some, their results have been as good or better than the lockdown countries, but without having to endure the socio-economic chaos we are now witnessing across the world. For this reason alone, Sweden and others like them, have already won the policy debate, as well as the scientific one too.

Unlike much of the rest of the world who saw fit to unquestioningly follow China’s lead on everything from quarantining, to economic shutdowns, to contact tracing, and PCR mass testing, nonlockdown countries have instead opted for a somewhat lighter touch – preserving their economies and societies, and in doing so avoiding an endless daisy chain of new problems and obstacles deriving directly from the imposition of brutal lockdown policy.

On the European front, the Scandinavian country of Sweden is now garnering more attention than before, and has become an object of both criticism and fascination for those against or in favor of lockdown policy. While countries like the United States and Great Britain continue to top the global tables in terms of COVID-19 death tolls, Sweden has only suffered marginal casualties in comparison, while avoiding the intense strain on society and loss in public confidence which lockdown governments are now grappling with as they continue to push their populations to the limits of social stress and economic tolerance. You could say those governments are already careening over the edge by looking at the latest jobless figures coming out the US with 30 million new people filing for unemployment in the last few weeks.

Unlike many others, Sweden has not enforced any strict mass quarantine measures to contain COVID-19, nor has it closed any of its borders. Rather, Swedish health authorities have issued a series of guidelines for social distancing and other common sense measures covering areas like hygiene, travel, public gatherings, and protecting the elderly and immune compromised. They have kept all preschools, primary and secondary schools open, while closing college and universities who are now doing their work and lectures online. Likewise, many bars and restaurants have remained open, and shoppers do not have to perform the bizarre ritual of queuing around the block standing 2 meters apart in order to buy groceries.

According to the country’s top scientists, they are now well underway to achieving natural herd immunity. It seems this particular Nordic model has already won the debate.

Because Sweden decided to follow real epidemiological science and pursue a common sense strategy of herd immunity, it doesn’t need to “flatten of the curve” because its strategic approach has the added benefit of achieving a much more gradual and wider spread.

The round-the-clock protection unit, often staffed by two officers, infuriated some members of the police force when Martinez introduced the motion, which reads in part:

“We need a vision for our city that says ‘there is going to be justice.’ American society is founded on a racial hierarchy, one that is born out of slavery, followed by Jim Crow segregation and corporate abuse of labor. As such, police departments are asked to enforce a system of laws that are designed to reinforce and maintain economic and racial inequality.”

“It’s kind of ironic. Here she is demanding $150 million be reallocated from the police budget, but yet she has security at her house by the Los Angeles Police Department,” said Det. Jamie McBride, who serves as director of the Los Angeles Police Protective League, the LAPD’s union.

Hawley Calls For Investigation Into Officials Favoring Protests While Targeting Religion

Republican Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley called for an investigation into free speech double-standards, saying that state officials have favored protests while targeting religious freedom.

He asked Attorney General William Barr and the Department of Justice to launch a “full civil rights investigation” into violations of “free exercise and free speech rights of religious Americans” in a Tuesday letter.

“Under the First Amendment, state officials must not treat religious persons and groups worse than others, and they must not favor one kind of speech over another,” Hawley noted. “State officials have violated the free speech and free exercise rights of religious Americans by treating religious gatherings and speech differently than the speech and mass gatherings of protests. I urge you to launch a full civil rights investigation.”

The move came as lawmakers like New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy refrained from telling protesters to stay home during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Democratic Party Exists To Co-Opt & Kill Authentic Change

So ends both acts of the Samuel Beckett play “Waiting for Godot.” One of the two main characters suggests leaving, the other agrees, followed by the stage direction that both remain motionless until curtain.

This is also the entire role of the Democratic Party. To enthusiastically agree with American support for movements calling for real changes which benefit ordinary people, while making no actual moves to provide no such changes. The actors read the lines, but remain motionless.

Barack Obama made a whole political career out of this. People elected him because he promised hope and change, then for eight years whenever hopeful people demanded changes he’d say “Yes, we all need to get together and have a conversation about that,” express sympathy and give a moving speech, and then nothing would happen. The actors remain motionless, and Godot never comes.

Democratic Party leaders are currently under fire for staging a ridiculous performative display of sympathy for George Floyd by kneeling for eight minutes while wearing Kente cloth, a traditional African textile. The streets of America are filled with protesters demanding a total overhaul of the nation’s entire approach to policing.

The Democratic Party’s response is to put on a children’s play using black culture as a prop, and advance a toothless reform bill whose approach we’ve already established is worthless which will actually increase funding to police departments.

Meanwhile it’s blue states with Democratic governors and cities with Democratic mayors where the bulk of the police brutality, people are objecting to, is occurring. The Democrats are going out of their way to spin police brutality as the result of Trump’s presidency, but facts in evidence say America’s violent and increasingly militarized police force would be a problem if every seat in every office in America were blue.

I don’t know what will happen with these protests. I don’t know if the demonstrators will get anything like the changes they are pushing for, or if their movement will be stopped in its tracks. What I do know is that if it is stopped, it will be because of Democrats and their allies.

Bloodthirsty Senator Tom Cotton recently took a break from torturing small animals in his basement to write an incendiary op-ed for The New York Times explaining to the American public why using the military to quash these protests is something that they should want. We later learned that The New York Times op-ed team had actually come up with the idea and pitched it to the senator, not the other way around, and that it was the Times itself which came up with the inflammatory headline “Send In the Troops.” The op-ed understandably received severe public backlash which resulted in a senior staff member’s resignation. But if these protests end it won’t be because tyrants in the Republican Party like Donald Trump and Tom Cotton succeeded in making the case for beating them into silence with the U.S. military. It will be because liberal manipulators succeeded in co-opting and stagnating its momentum.

Watch them. Watch Democrats and their allied media and corporate institutions try to sell the public a bunch of words and a smattering of feeble, impotent legislation to mollify the masses, without ever giving the people the real changes that they actually need.

It remains to be seen if they will succeed in doing this, but they are already working on it. That is their entire purpose. It’s much easier to control a populace with false promises and empty words than with brute force, and the manipulators know it. That is the Democratic Party’s role.

It is true that there’s a difference between Democrats and Republicans, in the same sense that there’s a difference between the jab and the cross in boxing. The jab is often used to keep an opponent at bay and set up the more damaging cross, but they’re both wielded by the same boxer, and they’re both punching you in the face.

Don’t let them disguise that jab as anything other than what it is. Don’t let them keep you at bay with a bunch of impotent performances and word magic. If they have it their way, they’ll keep that jab in your face all night until the knockout punch leaves you staring up at the arena lights like it always does, wondering what the hell happened and why Godot never came.
