The CFR and the Media
Largely unbeknownst to the general public, executives and top journalists of almost all major US news outlets have long been members of the influential Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
Established in 1921 as a private, bipartisan organization to “awaken America to its worldwide responsibilities”, the CFR and its close to 5000 elite members for decades have shaped US foreign policy and public discourse about it. As a well-known Council member famously explained, they transformed the American republic into a global empire, albeit a “benevolent” one.
Based on official membership rosters, the following illustration depicts for the first time the extensive media network of the CFR and its two major international affiliate organizations: the Bilderberg Group (mainly covering the US and Europe) and the Trilateral Commission (covering North America, Europe and East Asia), both established by Council leaders to foster elite cooperation at the global level.
In a column entitled “Ruling Class Journalists”, former Washington Post senior editor and ombudsman Richard Harwood described the Council and its members approvingly as “the nearest thing we have to a ruling establishment in the United States”.
Harwood continued: “The membership of these journalists in the Council, however they may think of themselves, is an acknowledgment of their active and important role in public affairs and of their ascension into the American ruling class. They do not merely analyze and interpret foreign policy for the United States; they help make it. () They are part of that establishment whether they like it or not, sharing most of its values and world views.”
However, media personalities constitute only about five percent of the overall CFR network. As the following illustration shows, key members of the private Council on Foreign Relations have included:
several US Presidents and Vice Presidents of both parties;
almost all Secretaries of State, Defense, and the Treasury;
many high-ranking commanders of the U.S. military and NATO;
some of the most influential Members of Congress (notably in foreign & security policy);
almost all National Security Advisors, CIA Directors, Ambassadors to the U.N., Chairs of the Federal Reserve, Presidents of the World Bank, and Directors of the National Economic Council;
many prominent academics, especially in key fields such as Economics and Political Science;
many top executives of Wall Street, policy think tanks, universities, and NGOs;
as well as the key members of both the 9/11 Commission and the Warren Commission (JFK)
Harvard economist and Kennedy supporter, John K. Galbraith, confirmed the Council’s influence: “Those of us who had worked for the Kennedy election were tolerated in the government for that reason and had a say, but foreign policy was still with the Council on Foreign Relations people.”

Georgia launches probe into ‘unacceptable’ voting problems as primary voters face hours-long waits & ballot snafus
Georgia officials have vowed to investigate the state’s electoral processes after primary voters were discouraged at every turn, with hours-long waits, voting machine issues, closed polling places, and a lack of absentee ballots.
“Everything that could happen or go wrong has gone wrong so far,” Fulton County Board of Commissioner Chairman Robb Pitts told local media, describing his county’s cascade of failures as the result of fewer voting precincts and absentee ballot issues.
The rollout of new voting machines across the state brought with it major headaches, introducing paper ballots for the first time in 18 years. Manufactured by Dominion Voting Systems, the new machines were acquired earlier this year after activists sued the state, charging the previous machines were not secure. The old system left no paper trail at all, while the new Dominion machines print paper ballots with a record of the voter’s selection that are then scanned.
However, Georgia officials – including the Secretary of State – defended the machines as complaints began pouring in Tuesday morning, blaming the snarls on “user error” and insisting despite all reports to the contrary that poll workers and voters were just confused. After hours of insisting the only problem was that some machines had been delivered to the wrong precinct, statewide voting implementation manager Gabriel Sterling apparently deleted a tweet claiming the voting was “going great” in most of the state.

Some 13,000 men and women worked for the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the U.S. intelligence agency during World War II and the forerunner of the modern CIA.
Before 1940, the U.S. State Department, FBI and the different branches of the military all had their own security and counterintelligence operations, which did not easily share information with each other. With another war raging in Europe, however, President Franklin D. Roosevelt wanted greater coordination when it came to gathering and acting on intelligence. In July 1941, he tapped Colonel William J. Donovan, known as “Wild Bill,” for a newly created office, Coordinator of Information (COI).
Donovan, who served as a battalion commander in the 165th Infantry Regiment during World War I, was one of the nation’s most decorated war heroes. As he began laying the groundwork for a coordinated intelligence network, based partially on the example of the British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), the new COI office provoked suspicion and hostility from other U.S. agencies, including J. Edgar Hoover’s FBI and the War Department’s Military Intelligence Division, better known as the G-2.

George Floyd Funeral Turns Into Political Spectacle: “Hate Group” Nation of Islam was Security, Race Baiter Al Sharpton Presides, Joe Biden Panders
The funeral for George Floyd was today and boy was it a spectacle. The location of the funeral service was at Fountain of Praise Church in Houston, TX.
After the private service at Fountain of Praise Church, Floyd was taken to the Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland.
The funeral was packed with 500 mourners including several celebrities like Jamie Foxx, Channing Tatum, NFL star J.J. Watt and Congressman Al Green (pictured below).
Congressman Al Green was one of the first to call for the impeachment of President Trump. In December, Rep. Green said the impeachment of Trump was needed to “deal with slavery.”
Green was also at the service for political reasons. He represents the 9th District in Texas.
