Georgia's Secretary of State, Brad Raffensberger, knows alllll about the shit in Fulton & Dekalb counties (that's Atlanta)

We've put up with incompetence in Atlanta government for decades. Enough is enough.

Let this metro Atlanta native give you the TL;DR

Corrupt blacks in Atlanta hire their incompetent, also-black friends for EVERYTHING in local government

It's like the damn Mafia, only the Mafia is a shitload more efficient.

Once they got a few "friends" weaseled into Human Resources decades ago, it's been the same story 500 times.

I voted in a metro Atl county this afternoon. It took 10 minutes, including walking back & forth to the car.

New machines that print out a paper ballot worked like a charm, fast and easy.

Atlanta is a cesspool of corruption and incompetence.

The corrupt incompetent Democrats have been bitching and moaning since lunchtime, saying they'll sue, demanding investigations, the usual.

I don't always agree with Brian Kemp, but he and Raffensberger have got these fuckers' numbers.

I hope they snatch Hartsfield Airport right out of Fulton County's filthy hands.

Secretary of State’s office opens investigation into ‘poor planning’ by county elections

The Secretary of State’s office says county officials are to blame for voting issues that have caused massive lines and hours-long wait times at polling locations across metro Atlanta.

People all over north Georgia sent us photos of long lines and reported issues with voting machines starting as soon as the polls opened at 7 a.m.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger says he is opening an investigation into the Fulton and DeKalb counties election processes:

“The voting situation today in certain precincts in Fulton and Dekalb counties is unacceptable. My office has opened an investigation to determine what these counties need to do to resolve these issues before November’s election. Obviously, the first time a new voting system is used there is going to be a learning curve, and voting in a pandemic only increased these difficulties. But every other county faced these same issues and were significantly better prepared to respond so that voters had every opportunity to vote.”

The SOS office said earlier Tuesday the counties that are having issues are to blame for their own problems.

“While these issues are unfortunate, they are not issues of the equipment but a function of counties engaging in poor planning, limited training and failures of leadership,” Statewide Voting Implementation Manager Gabriel Sterling said in a statement to Channel 2 Investigative Reporter Justin Gray.

We have reporters spread across north Georgia working to get more information on the issues and what’s being done to fix them. Stay with us for LIVE coverage all afternoon and evening on Channel 2 Action News.

While many people reported that their voting machines were not working, the SOS office says it’s not the equipment that was the problem.

“We have reports of poll workers not understanding setup or how to operate voting equipment,” Sterling said. “So far we have no reports of any actual equipment issues.”

Officials did say they received reports of equipment being delivered late and to the wrong locations.

Meanwhile, Georgia House Speaker David Ralston is calling for an investigation into the voting problems, particularly in Fulton County. Here is his full statement: (cont'd in next post)

"The sanctity of our elections – being free and fair – is the very foundation of our system of government. Our elections must be efficient and voters must be confident that their votes will be properly counted.

“We are hearing anecdotes from around the state – particularly in Fulton County – this morning of unacceptable deficiencies: poll workers not being properly trained, voting equipment not working and absentee ballots not being received among other issues. Our poll workers give of their time to serve Georgians, and they do not deserve to be blamed for systemic problems beyond their control.

“The legislative branch of government has an obligation to go beyond the mutual finger-pointing and get to the truth and the real reasons underlying these frustrations and concerns."

“I have directed Chairman Blackmon and our House Governmental Affairs Committee to investigate today’s primary elections process and recommend changes – legislative or administrative – to correct these issues and prevent future problems.”

The state received 33,000 new voting machines this year. Every precinct in all 159 counties is using the new machines.

The new machines are more secure than Georgia’s old voting machines because they generate paper ballots.

Officials with the SOS office said more than 2,000 precincts across the state reported no issues and are running as expected.
