Michigan is great, and the State Board of Canvassers just approved a recall petiton against Whitmer, I guarantee she will be recalled.
And in terms of lake front (inland and major lakes), it probably almost meets how much seafront beach cali has.
If you ever need to escape Cali or just need a time out from city life, Western Michigan is great for just the time out part… really good lake front beaches, camping (RV camps and camps to set up tents or a mix), sand dunes to ride a dune buggy on or ATV.
If you come into Michigan and want want to sight see maybe, I suggest Frankenmuth, Bronners, and visiting Mackinaw City and Mackinaw Island.
Frankenmuth is heavily German and Polish influenced, and has its own Oktoberfest.
Mackinaw Island is fantastic if you want some clean air, there are no cars or motor vehicles allowed on the island except for emergency services, and best fudge ever that doesn't melt all over your fingers and melts in your mouth instead.
I really don't suggest Detroit, Lansing, or Ann Arbor if your contemplating putting Michigan on your list, the Democrat mayors shat up these metro cities and Ann Arbor is a big University town (University of Michigan), and anons know how Universities are.
I also do not suggest Flint ever unless its for Back to the Bricks (A classic car event), dont stop, do not collect $200, just pass by. Flint not only had the water problem, but homicide has been and IS a big issue there as well. Flint has made the FBI's list (in top 3) for most homicides in the country in the past, long before the water issue started happening
Michigan is also safe from earthquakes and tornadoes that are stronger than F2. Just warning you before you even visit here tho cause your used to Cali temps… here in Michigan it gets maybe in the 80's on the hottest days, the problem is humidity and it can make it feel like its 90+, so its definitely not like the dry heat Cali gets.
But when its not humid as fuck out… its fucking perfect out for relaxation, I've been here my whole life and even the humidity can get to me sometimes at the peak of summer.
There's also the snow aspect that Cali never deals with in the winters, it also gets super fucking dry here and most people will run a humidifier in their homes, to prevent the dry air from giving us nose bleeds…etc.
