They were always looking for a pretense for the UN to swoop in and "restore order" alongside everyone the Bush'n'Clinton et al. families pissed off.
But who would be responsible?
The UN or the countries that participate in the invasion? Or just anyone involved in the UN?
What if the US is still a part of the UN? Would we be partially liable?
With the backing of China, the middle east, africa, and south america? Yeah…
All non-US countries are full of people pissed at America for whatever particular reason the previous administrations gave them.
