Power lines can be hazardous.
Personally, I'd cut the power for no other reason than the potential risk. Not just to the idiots who "took over" and are "occupying" the "secure area", but to every individual nearby should something go wrong, like a downed power line starting a fire or whatever.
Three basic essentials for survival are:
1) Food/Water
2) Clothes
3) Shelter
Technically, most hippie communes don't even need clothes or shelter, unless it gets cold. Ironically, that's all this hippie commune has, since only a day later they are asking the world for moar soy to sustain their fragile dietary needs
