Floyd was passing off fake $20 at the place he thought would cash them.
The store owner, who has a record of dealing in drugs and stolen merchandise, and illegal gun sales, was alerted by the launderers for Floyd who had stolen the bills.
Floyd thought he was safe doing it at the store, he also though he was safe buying the drug packet at the store. He was safe buying the drugs because no report was made of the packet laying on the ground.
The clerk did say Floyd left the fake bill and walked out with cigarettes. Floyd tried to pass off several $20 bills. How many bills does it take to buy a pack of cigs?
Floyd bought drugs, too, is my guess, but we are only hearing about the bills. The drugs pack was left on sidewalk.
No wonder Floyd was confused. He was probably doing something he did hundreds of times before…pass off fake money to a store who was in on the money laundering.
I don't know why much attention is being paid to the store owners. they went into hiding, too.
