Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer indicated during an interview with The Root on Tuesday that black protesters would be killed by Michigan State Police if they attempted to “storm” the capitol building

Reporter Terrell Jermaine Starr brought up the “mostly white” armed protesters who entered the state capitol as legislators were recently debating whether to extend Whitmer’s state of emergency order.

“It is lawful to bring a gun into the capitol,” Whitmer said, adding she doesn’t control the capitol grounds.

The capitol complex is protected by the Michigan State Police, which also provides her security.

The governor said she prefers the law be changed to ban firearms from the building.

“How do you respond to people who say that if there were a group of black men who stormed the state capitol that they would have been dead?” Starr asked.

“I understand why people would say that,” Whitmer said grimly.

“And I don’t disagree.”

Violence and rioting broke out in Lansing during a recent protest related to the death of George Floyd and police largely stood down.

“All Lives Matter, Sir!” – Dan Bongino Dunks on Hack Democrat at House Hearing

During the House Judiciary Committee’s hearing Wednesday on police brutality, FOX News contributor Dan Bongino refused to play games with Democrat Rep. Hakeem Jeffries.

Jeffries is not the brightest bulb in the shed.

Dan Bongino quickly corrected the Democrat on his racist suggestions.

REP. HAKEEM JEFFRIES (D-NY): Mr. Bongino, the police are at times able to show restraint under very difficult circumstances — is that correct?

DAN BONGINO: Of course.

JEFFRIES: Let’s review a few examples. In 2012, James Holmes entered a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, and opened fire on an audience, killing 12 people and injuring 70. Mr. Holmes was heavily armed with a AR-15, 12-gauge shotgun, and .40-caliber handgun. Yet he was taken into police custody outside of that very same movie theater without incident. Mr. Bongino, James Holmes is white — is that correct?

BONGINO: I’m not sure of his background. I didn’t know James Holmes personally.

JEFFRIES: He’s white. 2014, Dylann Roof massacred nine Black parishioners at Mother Emanuel AME church in Charleston. Mr. Roof was heavily armed, with a high-powered glock, .45-caliber pistol, and 88 rounds. The police somehow arrested Dylann Roof without incident and even treated him to Burger King. Mr. Bongino, Dylan Roof is white — is that correct?

BONGINO: Yeah. I don’t know where you’re going with this. So if he’s white, that doesn’t make him any better or — it was any awful thing he did, whether he was white or Black. I’m not sure where you were going with this.

JEFFRIES: Correct. Dylann Roof was white. And last year —

BONGINO: He’s awful.

JEFFRIES: In El Paso, Texas, Patrick Crusius killed 23 people and injured dozens during a shooting rampage. He used an AK-47 and was heavily armed yet somehow he was arrested without incident. Mr. Bongino, Patrick Crusius was white — is that correct?

BONGINO: Sir, I have no idea of his — I don’t know his parentage.

JEFFRIES: He was white.

BONGINO: Again, I don’t know why you’re making a racial thing out of it.

JEFFRIES: Reclaiming my time. Because Black lives matter, sir.

BONGINO: Yeah. All lives matter, sir. Every single life matters, white, black, Asian.

There’s an Actual Playbook for Everything Happening Right Now and the US Wrote It. But Who Is Using It Against Us?

While it might seem like everything that is happening is just chaotically bouncing from one shocking event to the next, that assessment couldn’t be further from the truth. There’s a playbook – a literal playbook – and we’re being manipulated toward the endgame that does not benefit the American people.

The playbook I’m referring to in this article is the US Special Forces Unconventional Warfare Manual from 2010. These were methods that the United States military employed against Libya.

The intent of U.S. UW efforts is to exploit a hostile power’s political, military, economic, and psychological vulnerabilities by developing and sustaining resistance forces to accomplish U.S. strategic objectives. Historically, the military concept for the employment of UW was primarily in support of resistance movements during general-war scenarios. While this concept remains valid, the operational environment since the end of World War II has increasingly required U.S. forces to conduct UW in scenarios short of general war (limited war).

Enabling a resistance movement or insurgency entails the development of an underground and guerrilla forces, as well as supporting auxiliaries for each of these elements. Resistance movements or insurgencies always have an underground element. The armed component of these groups is the guerrilla force and is only present if the resistance transitions to conflict. The combined effects of two interrelated lines of effort largely generate the end result of a UW campaign. The efforts are armed conflict and subversion. Forces conduct armed conflict, normally in the form of guerrilla warfare, against the security apparatus of the host nation (HN) or occupying military. Conflict also includes operations that attack and degrade enemy morale, organizational cohesion, and operational effectiveness and separate the enemy from the population. Over time, these attacks degrade the ability of the HN or occupying military to project military power and exert control over the population. Subversion undermines the power of the government or occupying element by portraying it as incapable of effective governance to the population. (source)

Gov. Noem: Establishment Media Coronavirus Bias Shows in ‘What They Choose to Cover, Not Cover’

Much of America’s news media manipulate public perceptions through sensationalism and omission of context to further a political agenda, determined Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD), highlighting the industry’s broad advocacy for lockdowns in relation to the coronavirus outbreak. She offered her remarks on Wednesday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.

News media bias is revealed through information selection and omission, Noem observed.

“I never had conflict with the press,” said Noem, reflecting on her years as an elected official. “I certainly, at times, felt like they were not being fair, but what I really realized the last six to eight months is how manipulative they can be towards public perception, and I think they do a lot of it through what they choose to cover and what they choose not to cover.”

Noem continued, “They definitely spent a lot of time attacking — and I would say — really sensationalizing items and pulling out facts that worked for an agenda that they were trying to sell, and then rarely covering the good news of what was happening here in South Dakota, and that really is what is disturbing to me.”

“I’ve spoken quite often about the press and how they are doing a grave disservice to the public by what they’re doing, by manipulating perceptions out there,” Noem added.

On Monday, Noem issued a statement heralding freedom over coercion, while contrasting her strategy towards the coronavirus outbreak with that of governors issuing shutdown and lockdown decrees. Part of her statement read:

Perhaps the most significant takeaway so far is that more freedom, not more government, is the answer… Freedom is a better friend of true science than government-centered and government-controlled science. Freedom, not government, is the best friend of innovation. Freedom focuses our politics on persuasion and the intellectual strength of our positions, not on control, coercion or the heavy hand of government. And if someone is interested in the common good in all its iterations and complexities, freedom is the one and only choice.

My approach to this virus was to provide South Dakotans with all the information I could and then trust them to exercise their freedom to make the best decision for themselves and their families. We took a unique path – we haven’t locked people up, forced businesses or churches to close, or ordered a statewide shelter in place.

The mainstream media attack those who push for freedom and for people to be able to make the best decisions for their families. But politicians who take away people’s freedoms and enforce lockdowns are praised – and shielded from real scrutiny.

Political exploitation of crises to diminish freedom and further centralize power undermines American values, Noem declared.

Primary Steele Dossier Source Remains Elusive Six Months After Scathing Watchdog Report

A Justice Department report released six months ago this week had the bombshell revelation that the sole source of information for Christopher Steele disputed many of the key allegations in the infamous dossier.

But while the source would seemingly be key to unraveling how exactly Steele came to peddle false information about the Trump campaign, the dossier source has not yet been identified.

A few clues about the source have appeared in the media, and through Steele’s testimony in a British legal case.

The identity of the primary source for Christopher Steele remains elusive six months after the Justice Department inspector general’s report revealed that the individual disputed key allegations in former British spy’s salacious dossier.

The source, referred to as “Primary Sub-Source” in the watchdog report, is likely key to unraveling exactly how Steele came to peddle inaccurate information regarding Donald Trump and the Trump campaign’s alleged ties to Russia. But the Justice Department, FBI, and Steele have all withheld key details about the source.

Both the inspector general (IG) and special counsel’s report undermined Steele’s core allegation that Trump campaign associates conspired with the Russian government to influence the 2016 election. The IG report, released on Dec. 9, went further, saying that the dossier’s allegations regarding specific Trump associates may have been the product of a Russian disinformation campaign.

Steele told the FBI that he relied on one individual to collect information from a network of sub-sources, many of whom were in Russia.

The FBI and Justice Department tracked down and interviewed the source in January 2017, according to the IG report.

During the interview, the source disputed many of the dossier’s claims, saying that Steele embellished or misinterpreted information that ended up in the dossier, which the FBI used to obtain surveillance orders against former Trump aide Carter Page.

DHS Warns Police Officers Are Being Doxed Online

Personal information of police officers in departments nationwide is being leaked online amid tense interactions at demonstrations across the U.S. over the police custody death of George Floyd and others, according to an unclassified intelligence document from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, obtained by The Associated Press.

The document warns that the effort, known as “doxxing,” could lead to attacks by “violent opportunists or domestic violent extremists” or could prevent law enforcement officials from carrying out their duties.

Multiple high-ranking police officials in a number of cities, including Washington, Atlanta, Boston and New York have had their personal information shared on social media, including their home addresses, email addresses and phone numbers, the report warns.

“At least one of the police commissioners was targeted for his alleged support of the use of tear gas to disperse protests,” it says.

Police officials nationwide have spoken out lately saying they feel caught in the middle of trying to stop violent protests, and feel abandoned by lawmakers in the demand for police reform. Some have said they fear for their lives.

“Stop treating us like animals and thugs, and start treating us with some respect! We’ve been vilified. It’s disgusting,” New York State police union official Mike O’Meara said as lawmakers in New York State repealed a law known as Section 50-a that keeps police records secret.

But the demonstrations around the country have centered on the police use of excessive force in the killings of minorities. George Floyd, whose funeral was Tuesday, cried out that he couldn’t breathe as a white officer in Minneapolis pressed his knee into the man’s neck.

Floyd’s death, caught on video, sparked widespread demonstrations and the debate over force.

The same words were used by Eric Garner in 2014 after he was placed in a choke-hold by police and later died.

Federal officials also identified posts that include specific personal information of several law enforcement officers in Kentucky and their family members, and included a link to a website that contained their full names, the names of their family members, home addresses, specific information about the vehicles they drive and online account login information, the report says.

A 26-year-old EMT, Breonna Taylor was killed by police who had served a no-knock search warrant at her Kentucky home on March 13 as part a of drug investigation. She was not the suspect they were seeking.

The personal information of another officer from San Jose, California, and his family was also posted online in a post that called for others to “do with this information what you will,” the report said.

It is not illegal to post the personal information of law enforcement officers online, though many social media companies specifically prohibit its sharing as part of their terms of service.

Georgia Election Disaster a National Preview of November

Massive problems in Georgia’s primary election have all the earmarks of being repeated again and again across the country in November.

In a word, it’s a clusterfark.

It’s the worst of both possible worlds in Georgia: long lines at polling stations and a massive number of absentee ballots that haven’t even been counted yet. Most of the problems are occurring in metro Atlanta.

The problems stem from bad management and an overburdened system. There aren’t enough workers at the polls to help voters figure out how to cast a ballot with the new machines. This has led to waits of three hours or more to vote in some precincts. Absentee ballots have been piling up in registrar’s offices across the state because there’s no one available to tabulate them.

Fox News:

The finger-pointing goes beyond details of the law. [Georgia Secretary of State Brad] Raffensperger correctly noted that county officials train poll workers, including on the use of the new voting machines. But Raffensperger is the state’s chief elections official who decides how many machines to send to each county, and his office provides training curriculum for local officials.

On absentee ballots, the Republican secretary of state pushed unprecedented no-fault absentee access, paying to send an application to every Georgian on the active voter rolls. But, as Barron noted, neither the secretary of state nor the legislature provided additional money for local officials to hire staff to process the influx, which dwarfed the typical primary.

Not surprisingly, Democrats blamed Republicans, while Republicans blamed Democrats, where others saw “an attack on the democratic process.”

“If there was a failure of leadership, it starts where the buck should stop, at the top. The eradication of any ‘learning curve’ rests squarely at the feet of the Georgia secretary of state, Brad Raffensperger, and his office,” Thurmond said. “It is the secretary of state’s responsibility to train, prepare and equip election staff throughout the state to ensure fair and equal access to the ballot box.”

Raffensperger’s office denied there were any technical glitches with the voting equipment itself. Instead, poll workers didn’t know how to encode voter access cards, enter PIN numbers correctly or plug machines into power supplies.

Poll workers said that wasn’t always the case. They said they couldn’t log into voter check-in tablets, and ballots didn’t always display on touchscreens.

Black Lives Matter Foundation Aims to ‘Disrupt’ Family Structure, Excludes Fathers from Vision of Community

As citizens around the U.S. protest police brutality and racial inequalities, their rallying cry has been the slogan “Black Lives Matter” — a declaration of God-given value for Americans who feel marginalized. Yet that slogan was born of a political organization — now rolling in donations from massive corporations hoping to establish their social justice bona fides — whose larger agenda has gone largely unexamined.

The Black Lives Matter (BLM) Global Network Foundation is a largely decentralized international organization — listing regional chapters instead of particular leaders. It was founded by three women, one of whom identifies as “queer”: Patrisse Khan-Cullors, Opal Tometi, and Alicia Garza. On its “What We Believe” page, BLM describes itself as a movement “to fight for freedom, liberation, and justice,” but its definition of those terms includes radical changes to basic societal norms.

For instance, the org’s “What We Believe” page asserts that these goals can only be achieved through the disruption of the “Western-prescribed nuclear family structure.”

“We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement,” the site declares, “by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.” The word “fathers” is deliberately excluded, replaced by the gender-neutral “parents” despite already naming “mothers” as pillars of the family.

The statement goes on to denigrate male influence on the family as oppressive. “We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered,” the group says, calling single mothers’ “double shifts” of working and parenting a “patriarchal practice.”

On a page describing the group’s “herstory,” BLM writes that part of the reason for its emphasis on intersectional sexual politics is that black liberation movements have historically overemphasized the voice and role of straight men:

Black liberation movements in this country have created room, space, and leadership mostly for Black heterosexual, cisgender men — leaving women, queer and transgender people, and others either out of the movement or in the background to move the work forward with little or no recognition. As a network, we have always recognized the need to center the leadership of women and queer and trans people.

As such, the “What We Believe” statement explicitly endorses LGBTQ subversion of biological sex. “We foster a queer‐affirming network,” the creed states. “When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).”

Postmates, Uber Offer Promotions for Black Restaurants, Raising Tough Legal Questions

New meal-delivery company promotions benefiting black-owned restaurants are raising legal questions about whether gig economy giants can offer race-based benefits.

The programs, announced by Uber Eats and Postmates following the death of George Floyd at the hands of police, waive delivery fees for black-owned restaurants but make no such benefit available to other minority or white-owned businesses.

The legal questions are compounded by a lack of transparency surrounding the programs and seemingly random participant criteria. Postmates has already made missteps. At least two businesses owned by white or Arab proprietors were on curated lists and searches of black-owned restaurants on the Postmates Washington-area platform as recently as Tuesday. Both restaurants told the Washington Free Beacon that they were added without consultation and were removed following the Free Beacon‘s inquiries.

One capital standby, the Old Ebbitt Grill, appeared on a curated list of black-owned restaurants as of Tuesday afternoon. Clyde's Restaurant Group, which owns Old Ebbitt, is operated by a team of executives, none of whom are black. A spokesperson for the Clyde's Restaurant Group told the Free Beacon that they asked Postmates to remove the restaurant, which was added without their input.

Busboys and Poets, a popular restaurant and event space which identifies as a "cultural hub where racial and cultural connections are consciously uplifted" consistently appeared as a top result on a search for "black owned" restaurants on Postmates as of Tuesday. The owner and founder of the restaurant is Andy Shallal, who was born in Iraq. A spokesperson confirmed that the restaurant was not consulted by Postmates.

Both companies have been cagey about the criteria they use to select qualifying businesses. Postmates did not respond to multiple inquiries about its program, while Uber has only identified stakeholders in its internal process. Participant restaurants are selected by groups across the company, including the Black @ Uber leadership group, with input from local groups and business associations.

Susan Rice: Trump's response to George Floyd DC unrest proves it should become a state

Susan Rice, a former White House national security adviser, wrote in a New York Times op-ed published Tuesday that Washington, D.C., was powerless to stop President Trump from ordering federal forces into the city in response to protests because it lacks statehood.

In her piece, Rice criticized Trump for deploying thousands of federal forces into the city against the wishes of Mayor Muriel Bowser as protests continued over the death of George Floyd.

"Largely because Washington lacks statehood, Mr. Trump had the authority to line city streets with military Humvees, to fly Black Hawk helicopters dangerously low to terrorize protesters, to fill the steps of the Lincoln Memorial with military personnel and to deploy thousands of federal forces, many unidentifiable with no discernible chain of command, like Russian 'Little Green Men,' to intimidate residents,” Rice wrote.

“Without statehood, Washington was virtually powerless to prevent Mr. Trump from using the capital as a petri dish to intimidate protesters, divide Americans and goad activists into ugly street battles to galvanize elements of his base,” she added.

Rice, who grew up in the capital, cited the firing of tear gas, rubber bullets, pepper spray and use of batons on protesters and journalists. She warned that the city was a "testing ground" for Trump to find a pretext to invoke the Insurrection Act and send active-duty troops into any state over the objections of its governor.

National Guard troops were ordered to the city to protect the White House and several monuments amid historic unrest over Floyd's death.

To support her argument for D.C. statehood, Rice noted that the city's population exceeds 700,000, more than Wyoming and Vermont and comparable to Alaska and Delaware. Washington, D.C., residents also pay more per capita in federal income taxes than any state and more in total federal income tax than 22 states, she said.

"Yet, we lack any senators or voting representative in the House of Representatives. Congress controls the city’s budget and can override our laws and withhold funds," she said. "As our license plate proclaims, we suffer “taxation without representation,” which violates our democratic rights and relegates residents to second-class citizenship."

6-Year-Old Boy Confined in Closet Died Weighing 18 Pounds, Parents Could Face Death Penalty

Deshaun Martinez and his 7-year-old brother were trapped in the closet of their family's apartment in Flagstaff for 16 hours a day with barely any food.

An autopsy found that a 6-year-old boy found dead in his home last March weighed only 18 pounds when he died – roughly the weight of a 1-year-old.

Deshaun Martinez was found unresponsive in an apartment being rented by his family in Flagstaff, Arizona, last March. He died shortly afterward at the hospital following an unsuccessful attempt by officers to revive the boy, police claim.

His parents, Anthony Martinez and Elizabeth Archibeque, later admitted to authorities that they had confined Deshaun and his 7-year-old brother in a closet for up to 16 hours per day for about a month, barely feeding the two young boys, according to arrest records obtained by Fox 10 News.

According to the autopsy report recently published by the Arizona Daily Sun, Deshaun died of starvation. The manner of death, however, is listed as a homicide.

After the child’s body was discovered last March lying alongside his brother, police arrested his parents as well as his grandmother, Ann Martinez, and charged them with first-degree murder, child abuse, and kidnapping.

The parents and grandmother could face an extremely heavy penalty. Prosecutors are weighing the possibility of capital punishment in the case, and have until late July to decide whether to pursue that course.

However, the family has pleaded not guilty. The parents also allegedly explained to police that the little boys would “steal food” at night, while also claiming that Deshaun’s malnourishment was a result of a medical condition and his alleged theft of diet pills from them.

But according to the Associated Press, the boy had multiple abrasions and bruises on his body, none of which were life-threatening.

Congressional Republicans plan wave of new criminal referrals in Russia probe

As many as 10 referrals could target FBI misconduct in Flynn case, false testimony and obstruction.

Congressional Republicans are putting the finishing touches on as many as 10 new criminal referrals asking the Justice Department to investigate key figures in the Russia probe for misconduct ranging from perjury to illegal leaking of classified information, officials told Just the News.

The referrals have been spurred by recently declassified evidence that provided explosive new revelations about the conduct of investigators in the now-disproven Russia collusion case, including documents showing FBI agents planned to shut down their investigation of former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn for lack of evidence in January 2017 before they were overruled by superiors.

Other newly released evidence showed numerous Obama administration officials engaged in unmasking Flynn's name in secret intelligence intercepts during the transition period after the 2016 election and uncovered conflicts in testimonies previously given by former top FBI and intelligence community officials.

"Congress is days away from making multiple criminal referrals to DOJ related to conspiracies against Michael Flynn, crimes committed during the conduct of Crossfire Hurricane, false testimony to Congress by top Obama officials, and criminal leaks of classified information from the top rung of the IC," said a source with direct knowledge of the referrals.

The planned referrals come as the Justice Department has expanded its own criminal investigation into the conduct of current and former employees during the Russia probe.

Attorney General William Barr said this week the investigation is looking at why the FBI tried so aggressively to open and sustain an investigation into Trump's campaign before the 2016 election when it lacked the sort of evidence to justify it, and whether those efforts amounted to conspiracy to defraud the courts or violate the rights of some of the Americans that were targeted.

"I think before the election I think we were concerned about the motive, the force behind the very aggressive investigation that was launched into the Trump Campaign without — you know, with a very thin, slender reed as a basis for it," Barr told Fox News. "It seemed that the Bureau was sort of spring-loaded at the end of July to drive in there and investigate a campaign. And they — there really wasn't much there to do that on."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Wednesday called for the removal of Confederate statues from the halls of Congress.

The radical left wants to erase our history.

There is also a campaign to rename the military bases as radical leftists toppled statues in their push for a Marxist revolution.

Now Pelosi is pushing to remove nearly a half a dozen Confederate statues to be removed from the Capitol.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., on Wednesday called for the removal of nearly a dozen Confederate statues from the halls of Congress, throwing her weight behind efforts to take down the figures linked to racism and the Confederacy following the death of George Floyd.

In a new letter to the Joint Committee on the Library, a House-Senate panel that manages the National Statuary Hall Collection, Pelosi asked Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., and Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif., to direct the Architect of the Capitol to “immediately” start removing 11 statues of men associated with the Confederacy from display in the Capitol complex.

The Confederate statues are displayed across the Capitol. Five figures, including statues of Jefferson Davis and Alexander Stephens, the president and vice president of the Confederacy, are on display in Statuary Hall, on the House side of the Capitol. The other six Confederate statues stand in parts of the complex shared by both chambers.

“While I believe it is imperative that we never forget our history lest we repeat it, I also believe that there is no room for celebrating the violent bigotry of the men of the Confederacy in the hallowed halls of the United States Capitol or places of honor across the country,” Pelosi said in a letter obtained exclusively by ABC News.

“The statues in the Capitol should embody our highest ideals as Americans, expressing who we are and who we aspire to be as a nation,” Pelosi wrote on Wednesday. “Monuments to men who advocated cruelty and barbarism to achieve such a plainly racist end are a grotesque affront to these ideals.”

The Democrats unsuccessfully tried to remove the statues back in 2017 when they were in the minority.

The Democrats plant to introduce legislation to have the statues removed from the Capitol and sent to the Smithsonian — or sent back to the states that commissioned them.
