There already was a nineteenth-century book written in Qing times that attempted to re-write the New Testament. This version had the title of:

西洋耶蘇秘錄 ("Mysterious Records of the Western Christ")

and was full of all sorts of blasphemies against Jesus of Nazareth. I believe a copy is available online at:
