Biden: 'This President Is Going to Try to Steal This Election'

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden told Comedy Central’s Trevor Noah that Donald Trump will try to “steal” the 2020 presidential election.

Saying that on a comedy show was quite appropriate.

Indeed, Biden picked up on a familiar Democratic narrative—that the GOP will try to steal the election by “suppressing” the vote. Now, logic would dictate that many votes that Trump and the Republicans would supposedly be “suppressing” would actually be cast for the GOP.

So, Republicans and Trump want to suppress their own vote? A novel notion, but not logical. It’s not even sane.

“This is the guy who said all mail-in ballots are fraudulent — voting by mail — while he sits behind a desk in the Oval Office and writes his mail-in ballot to vote in a primary.”

How many Pinocchios is that idiotic statement worth? Neither Donald Trump nor any other Republican has ever said that “all mail-in ballots are fraudulent.” That’s not even an exaggeration. It’s an outright lie.

Numerous studies of mail ballots have concluded that there is a high degree of probability that some ballots are fraudulent, but that there is no partisan advantage to mail-in voting.

The problem is that there is a great potential for fraud whether it occurs or not. That alone raises questions about the legitimacy of any election.

Although election experts acknowledge there are slightly higher levels of voter fraud perpetrated through mail-in voting than in-person voting, they agree overall cases of election fraud are exceedingly rare and that local officials can implement measures to thwart such activity. There is no evidence of the type of widespread voter fraud that Trump has alleged.

But that’s not the real worry of Biden and Democrats. Their silly charge that Trump will cheat is overshadowed by their paranoid fear that Trump may not like the result of the election and, if he loses, refuse to step down.

Still, Trump’s accusations have heightened concerns among Democrats that he could refuse to leave office should Biden win in November or if the outcome were to remain inconclusive in the immediate aftermath of the election.

Biden revealed Wednesday he had acknowledged the possibility that Trump would not assent to a peaceful transition of power. But he suggested leaders within America’s armed forces — including former military officials who have criticized the president in recent weeks — would eventually force Trump from office.

That’s right. A military coup. Just what we need to settle things down after a tough election fight.

Senile old fool.

How senile? In his next breath, Biden praised the military for opposing Trump and suggested they would willingly join a military coup.

“I was so damn proud. You have four [chairman of the Joint] Chiefs of Staff coming out and ripping the skin off of Trump, and you have so many rank-and-file military personnel saying, ‘Whoa, we’re not a military state. This is not who we are,’” Biden said. “I promise you, I’m absolutely convinced they will escort him from the White House with great dispatch.”

Biden knows nothing of military traditions. The idea that the joint chiefs would march into the Oval Office and drag Trump from the White House is a liberal fantasy/nightmare. The left has always been terrified that a liberal president would suffer that fate. They all read Seven Days in May and believe a military takeover of the U.S. could be a reality.

Before the military intervened, there would be enough Republicans who would demand Trump obey the Constitution so their intervention wouldn’t be necessary. But it’s telling that Biden’s lies and his ignorant references to a military coup reveal him to be unfit to serve.

Whose side are generals on? As Joint Chiefs chairman APOLOGIZES for standing by Trump, Biden confident of military support

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is ‘absolutely convinced’ that the military would be on his side if President Donald Trump tries to ‘steal the election’ or refuses to leave the White House. He has reasons to be.

Biden’s “single greatest concern” is that Trump is “going to try to steal this election,” he told the Daily Show host Trevor Noah in a video interview published on Thursday morning.

He could not hide his pleasure with the fact that several former and current military officials have spoken out against the president recently, adding that he was “absolutely convinced they will escort him from the White House with great dispatch” if Trump loses the election but refuses to concede.

It is tempting to wave off Biden’s claims about Trump “stealing” the election and refusing to abide by the results as a rehash of Hillary Clinton’s identical “argument” from 2016, when she lost and then proceeded to do just what she accused Trump of.

Whether that’s properly called projection or flipping the script, however, the country just went through four years of ‘Russiagate’ insanity as a result of Democrats and the media indulging that fantasy.

They’re doing it again, too. Notice how Biden’s claims about Trump were not described as “baseless,” or “without evidence,” or any of the phrases the media routinely use to “fact-check” Trump’s opinions they dislike. The talking point was simply accepted as gospel truth, no evidence required.

You might also recall that it was the media and the Democrats who howled about Trump’s “dictatorial” militarization of America when he called up the National Guard and active duty troops as rioting threatened to get out of hand just last week. Never mind that he didn’t actually deploy the troops, or invoke the Insurrection Act. Note, however, that Biden just insinuated that the “apolitical” military is actually in his corner.

Not without reason, either. His comments came shortly after a video emerged of Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, apologizing for standing by the president at Lafayette Square last week.

Academics nationwide #ShutDownSTEM because science is 'weaponized against black people'

Founders of the movement write that STEM is problematic because research papers often “reinforce anti-Black narratives."

Professors, researchers, and students in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics field from around the country are taking part Wednesday in the #ShutDownSTEM movement to combat what they say is systemic racism in academia. They argue that the STEM field itself creates technology that is “weaponized against black people.”

One scholar and self-proclaimed “leading expert on wokeness,” James Lindsay, who is best known for his participation in a project that exposed the faulty review process of academic journals by submitting hoax papers that were ultimately published by such publications, tweeted, that "one point of #ShutDownSTEM is to find out who doesn't do it (maybe they're working on a Covid-19 vaccine?) and to use that against them later, just like happened at Evergreen State College with its Day of Absence."

Alabama’s largets church lost its leases after the pastor ‘liked’ Charlie Kirk’s Instagram posts.

Charlie Kirk is a pro-Trump activist and founder of Turning Point USA.

The housing authority said in its statement explaining its decision to cut ties with the Church of the Highlands that the pastor’s views are incompatible with theirs because he ‘follows’ and ‘likes’ Charlie Kirk’s social media posts.

“Pastor Hodges only follows about 300+ people, and he chooses to follow Mr. Kirk and continuously likes the hate and misinformation that he spews,” wrote Jasmine Faith Clisby, an English teacher who ‘outed’ Hodges on Facebook. “I can’t stand in judgment and question his faith. However, it’s problematic for me that he uses his platform to support a man with clear biases and limited perspective.”

The pastor apologized for ‘liking’ posts attacking Obama and questioning the ‘white privilege’ narrative, but it wasn’t good enough for the outrage mob.

'Weapons of oppression’: Scottish Parliament votes for suspension of UK rubber bullets, tear gas and riot-shield exports to US

The Scottish Parliament has voted for the immediate suspension of UK rubber bullet, tear gas and riot-shield exports to the US, in a show of solidarity with the Black Lives Matter Movement following the death of George Floyd.

The motion, which was overwhelmingly backed by Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs) – 52 votes to 0, with 11 abstentions – was proposed by the Green Party’s Patrick Harvie.

Addressing fellow MSPs on Thursday, Harvie said it was “important that we stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter Movement,” in light of police brutality, calling for the UK government to halt “exports of tear gas, rubber bullets, and riot gear to the US.”

Those weapons of oppression are being used by a racist state, and it is unacceptable for us to be exporting them, putting those weapons into the hands of people who will brutalize marginalized communities.

The hard line taken by Scottish politicians against the export of riot gear and tear gas to the US comes despite UK police forces using similar riot control equipment.

US protests sparked by the killing of 46-year-old Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis at the end of May has seen violent flare-ups between law enforcement and demonstrators. Incidents involving the security forces ramming crowds with cars, and deploying tear gas and baton rounds against peaceful protesters, as well as the arrest of and shooting at domestic and international journalists covering demonstrations, have occurred during tense confrontations between police and anti-racism campaigners over recent weeks.
