How can anyone think THAT Joe Biden and the current "Joe Biden" are the same person? It's very clearly not the same person. Eyes are different, ears are different, facial muscle movements are different, skin is different, head shape is different ect. Look at photos of Biden from the Obama administration compared to 2020 Biden and it is NOT the same guy. Best I can tell from dating clips on youtube, the real Biden was scooped up sometime in early 2018.

May have been early 2017 now that you mention it, can't remember as I was trying to date it a month or so ago. Whether he went into hiding or had to turn himself over no one can say with certainty. But I'm 100% convinced that the actor playing "Joe Biden" is not the former Vice President.
