Bill Clinton, Missile Tech, and the Chinese
October, 1994: The Clintons hatch a deal with China selling U.S. military secrets in exchange for campaign contributions laundered through the company, Loral Space and Communications. This was run by its CEO, Bernard Schwartz.
1996: China tried to buy the election by funding Bill Clinton's re-election campaign. Johnny Chung, a California businessman funneled more than $366,000 in funds to the Democrats, including money provided secretly by the People's Liberation Army intelligence service for the Clinton reelection campaign. The director ofChinese intelligence funneled this money through China Aerospaceinto Chung's bank account, and he paid the Clinton campaign. The election meddling operation involved PLA Gen. Ji Shengde, head of military intelligence.Investigators linked Chung's PLA connections to Lt. Col. Liu Chaoying, an executive at China Aerospace International Holdings, the Hong Kong-based subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp, a government space launch and missile manufacturer.Chung had secretly recorded it as an 'insurance policy', fearing being Arkancided, arranging its release should he suddenly die.
In the meantime, sports exchanges begin by Mayor and President of China Jiang Zemin, the latter of whom visitedSan Franciscoand dedicated the Maletesta Library at the University of San Francisco's Center for the Pacific Rim.
March, 1996: Against the advise of the Secretary of State Warren Christopher, the Defense Department and intelligence agencies,Clinton transferred satellite export licensing from State to Commerce–led by Ron Brown. Schwartz flew to China with Brown and army general John M. Shalikashvili to make a $250 million telecommunications deal with Loral satellites, launched with Chinese rockets. It was illegal at the time to use Chinese rockets. To bring about this deal, Clinton lifted sanctions he himself had imposed on China for selling their missile technology to Pakistan. Clinton gave a waiver for Loral Space to export a satellite, scheduled to be launched in China the following November. The laughable justification for this deal was the encryption hardware would be secured in a black box in the missiles, supervised with Americans for their launch to ensure their security.
April 3, 1996: Ron Brown was purportedly killed in a plane crash in Croatia, having been sent there under the guise of attaining illegal campaign contributions. But Brown and that crash is a whole nuther story.
