As you've prolly noticed, you don't need to bake quite so early for gy shift. But much better too early than too late.

Below is how i'd handle the request for thread deletion from the German anon. (something new for me, too - there's always something new….)

Reporting stuff to BO:

When you have a duplicate bread, it gets reported for deletion using Report.

(You know how to do that? Go to any post in the bread requiring deletion, select triangle on top lefthand side of the post, then "Report" - but NOT "Global Report" which is only for cp and other illegal stuff).

But this is a different situation. Report form field is very short, so not good when an explanation is needed.

I'd post something in Meta thread with anon's cap (e.g., "Anon has requested a thread be deleted, please take a look.")

Let BO decide what to do.

Have sat around many times. Sometimes the bread - having sped up around 650 - will slow way down just about the time i bake. I come back only to find it at 705.

It was easier in 8chan to time things bc we were not under attack very often so it was both faster and you could predict the timing with greater ease. Some speedy bakers baked as late as 730, if you can believe it.

And that was for a normal bake (not gy). Even I could bake at 715-720, and i'm not very fast. In 8kun, i bake a little after 700 for gy but much earlier for day/evening (sometime after 650).

My theory is this:

DS plans some things but also takes advantage of situations they can use. With Covid, looks like an entirely planned op. With Floyd, it's hard to say, imo. But with all the connections with the club, and the club's connections with DS activities….looks suspicious, doesn't it?

If this is truly a spiritual war (which i would say is true), then when enough people begin to pray in earnest and also act in unity, things start to happen that DS tries to use but which backfire on them. And backfire repeatedly. Must confuse the hell outta them, because this stuff used to work so well and now it doesn't any more.

i'm not on duty, new baker is. But always good for baker to have backup. He's been here a while, might be interested in a handoff at some point. Good when you're new to bake, bake, bake - so you get over that initial hump, you know what i mean.
