On May 30, according to court documents, the police department in Page, Arizona, got a tip from someone described only as a “Concerned Citizen.” A young man named Loren Reed had set up a private Facebook chat group and was encouraging people to riot at the county courthouse.
The police department used an undercover Facebook account to message Reed.
“I wanna burn down the courthouse,” Reed wrote to the undercover officers, before adding them to that chat.
Over the next three days, the police took dozens of screenshots of the group’s conversations.
“Arson, Assault, Conspiracy, here we come,” Reed allegedly wrote in one message.

The ship Carlota C, which is anchored in Venezuela with a Cuban flag, will carry fuel to Cuba. However, in the South American country, people are still waiting in long queues of cars to fill their tanks.
“This boat, the Carlota C anchored at El Palito, is coming to refuel Cuba. This boat has been operating for several years from Cuba to Paraguaná looting our gasoline. Now it is closer, it is the turn of the Palito,” said Congressman Luis Stefanelli on Twitter.

Syrian jihadist commander killed by Libyan Army near Sirte
BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:40 A.M.) – The Syrian jihadist, Samer Al-Atrash, who was known as Abu Yaroub Al-Athari, was killed by an airstrike west of the Libyan city of Sirte.
According to reports, Al-Atrash was killed alongside several of his comrades while sthey were attempting to advance east towards the port-city of Sirte.
A report published by the “Africa Gate” said that accounts close to Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham (formerly Jabhat Al-Nusra) mentioned al-Atrash, while some of his comrades published pictures showing him participating in battles south of the Libyan capital Tripoli during the past months.
A photo was published of Al-Atrash after he was killed by the Libyan National Army’s (LNA) airstrikes in the western countryside of Sirte this week.
Not much is known about Al-Atrash’s participation in the Libyan war, but before his death, he was fighting alongside the Turkish-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) forces.

Turkey’s actions will lead to war with Egypt and Greece: expert
BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:40 P.M.) – ‘Abdel-Latif Darwish, a professor of economics and crisis management in Egypt, said that Egypt’s agreement with Greece on the demarcation of maritime borders represents a strong blow to the agreement between Turkish President Recep Erdogan and the Libyan Government of National Accord.
Darwish said, during a call with the Egypt’s Channel 10, that Europe and the major countries should put pressure on Turkey to stop the attempt to impose Turkish influence in the Arab region and the Mediterranean waters region.”
He commented on the signing of the maritime border demarcation agreement between Italy and Greece, saying: “Greece has achieved great success in striking Erdogan’s dreams of seizing the eastern Mediterranean gas.”
The Italian agency, “Nova”, announced on Wednesday that the Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos Dendias, will visit Egypt on June 18 to resume negotiations with the Egyptian authorities on the agreement to demarcate the maritime borders between the two countries.
According to the agency, after signing an agreement to designate the exclusive economic zones between Greece and Italy, Dendias announced, in statements on Tuesday (June 9th), that he would visit Egypt to obtain a similar result.
According to the statements of the Greek Foreign Minister, the agreement reached on Tuesday between Italy and Greece to designate the economic zones “certainly angered Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan,” noting that Italy fully adopted an interpretation of international law as intended by Greece.
It is noteworthy that the Foreign Ministers of Italy and Greece held a press conference on Tuesday (June 8th) in Athens, after they signed an agreement to designate the economic zones between the two countries and establish an exclusive economic zone.

FOX NEWS – San Francisco Mayor London Breed on Thursday said police will no longer respond to non-criminal calls as part of a major reform of the department.
Breed said in a news release that for calls that don’t involve a threat to public safety, police would be replaced by trained, unarmed professionals to limit unnecessary confrontation between the police department and the community.
The non-criminal calls will include neighbor disputes, reports on homeless people and school discipline interventions, among other activities.

Once again propelling itself ahead in global electric vehicle markets, Beijing has just rolled out a new credit scheme that will essentially pay citizens to make the switch to EVs.
This week the electric vehicle world is abuzz with the news of a new million-mile battery in the works, but another, much less flashy innovation announced this week could have even more sweeping implications for the EV sector. It may not make the sexiest headlines, but a new form of EV credit-trading being tested out in Beijing could revolutionize the way electric vehicle markets function.
“Tesla made about $354 million in Q1 2020 by selling regulatory credits,” Electrek reported this week. “Fiat Chrysler and General Motors, among others, buy billions of dollars in CO2 credits a year to avoid paying fines.” Despite the fact that the Trump administration is in the process of rescinding fuel economy rules that include greenhouse gas credits, Tesla has seen plenty of demand for their credits at the federal level. Even without these greenhouse gas credit sales, “Tesla has made over $2 billion from the sale of environmental credits over the years, but those have mostly consisted of ZEV credits from CARB states – mainly California,” Electrek reported in a separate article last June.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average, the broadest equities gauge on the New York Stock Exchange, was up 2.8 percent at 25,825 points by 10:20 a.m. ET (14:20 GMT), after plunging nearly 7 percent in the previous session. It was the biggest one-day slump on the index since the Dow’s near-13 percent plunge on March 16.
The S&P 500, a barometer for the top 500 US stocks, was up 2.3 percent at 3,071, after Thursday’s 6 percent dip. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite gained 2.2 percent to hover at 9,701, rebounding from the previous session’s 5 percent loss.
