Engineer working at Bill Gates' mansion gets just 90 days in jail after he was caught sending 6,000 child porn images on Gmail

Jones, 52, pleaded guilty last Friday to felony possession of child pornography and failing to report child pornography, a misdemeanor, stemming from the discovery of a cache of more than 6,000 photos and videos depicting sexual acts involving minors that he had amassed over the course of 10 years.
Jones, who was arrested last December, was sentenced to 90 days in King County Jail, followed by two years' probation.
The felony and misdemeanors charge s against Jones usually carry a sentence of three-to-six months, but prosecutors agreed to ask for a 90-day jail term because the 52-year-old engineer has to look after his ailing mother, reported Seattle PI.
According to prosecutors, the Gates' former staffer had shared the vile images using his Gmail account.
Police began to investigate Jones in 2013 after tracking him down from a sordid image which was posted online.
According to Seattle PI, the image showed the sexual exploitation of two young boys.
Jones was finally tracked down to his workplace at the tech billionaire's $147-million-dollar, waterfront estate in Medina, Washington.
He was interviewed in a security office at the estate by detectives, according to Seattle PI.
While he was being interviewed, police went into his home with a search warrant and found 6,495 images, including 133 in which the young victims have been identified by police.
