Deadly oil tanker truck explosion in China sends ruptured vehicle flying through the air

A dashboard camera has caught the moment of a devastating explosion of a tanker truck in China. The force of the blast apparently propelled a large piece of debris, as if launched from a cannon.

The incident happened in the Zhejiang Province after the vehicle caught fire, Chinese media reported, citing local officials. At least nine people have been killed and 112 others injured in the incident, which happened on an expressway in Taizhou city in the east of the country.

he explosion also started a major fire, with 450 firefighters deployed to the scene to tackle it.

Reports say the tank, which apparently was seen in the shocking video, flew several hundred meters before landing on the ground.

Other videos filmed in the aftermath of the explosion show several vehicles engulfed by fire and thick plumes of black smoke in the air.

Ghana Minister of Tourism Invites Abused and Unwanted African Americans to Come Back Home to Ghana

Ghana’s Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Barbara Oteng-Gyasi invited African Americans to “re-settle in Ghana if they feel unwanted” in the United States. Oteng-Gyasi made the comments during a memorial service for George Floyd.

Ghana was central point in the African slave trade to the New World.

During a memorial and wreath-laying ceremony in honor of Floyd last Friday, Ghana’s Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Barbara Oteng-Gyasi invited African Americans to “re-settle in Ghana if they feel unwanted” in the United States, the Independent Ghana news outlet reported.

Oteng-Gyasi reportedly declared:

Racism in America continues to be a deadly pandemic, for which for more than 400 years now, our brothers and sisters in the United States of America have yearned for a cure.

…

We continue to open our arms and invite all our brothers and sisters home. Ghana is your home. Africa is your home. We have our arms wide open ready to welcome you home. Please take advantage, come home build a life in Ghana, you do not have to stay where you are not wanted forever, you have a choice and Africa is waiting for you.

On Monday, NBC News reported that the African country had expanded its “Year of Return” initiative, an effort launched last year. As part of the initiative, Ghana called on the African diaspora across the world to “come home.”

#ExposeBillGates explodes on Twitter as conspiracy theorists vow to avoid Covid-19 vaccine connected to billionaire

Bill Gates’ omnipresence in the media during the Covid-19 pandemic has turned into a mass obsession with many, and conspiracy theorists got #ExposeBillGates trending on Twitter on a planned “day of action.”

The coronavirus pandemic created a number of speculations around the Microsoft Founder over his support of extended lockdown measures, his large contributions to the World Health Organization, and past comments on vaccines.

“The public is finally waking up. I’ve never liked this guy and if you really listen to him talk and watch his interviews you’ll know he DOESN’T have our best interest in mind,” author Peter Vooogd tweeted on Saturday. It was one of the many tweets linked to the #ExposeBillGates hashtag, which itself stemmed from a planned “day of action” — announced by author Derrick Broze last month — to expose the billionaire.

Other tweets included a video blasting Gates for his outspokenness on Covid-19 despite not being an elected official, as well as his support of extending lockdown measures across the world. Accusations of “population control” were also doled out based on Gates’ work providing vaccines to poorer countries through his foundation.

Others promised to never take any vaccine Gates has involvement with, including conservative author Michelle Malkin.

Some social media users, however, did not take the conspiracy theories seriously and instead used the hashtag to poke fun at Gates.

Though conspiracy theories about Gates are based more on conjecture than hard evidence, they have caught on with the public. Media analytics company Zignal Labs reported the conspiracy theory that Gates wants to implant tracking microchips into citizens under the guise of stopping Covid-19 was mentioned on social media more than a million times before May.

A Yahoo News/YouGov poll that showed around 20 percent of respondents believe Gates wants to track people’s personal information through microchips. For Republicans, that number in the poll shoots above 40 percent.

Gates denied wanting to implant microchips in citizens and called the poll results “concerning,” though he did admit a mass “data system” keep track of people’s information was a good idea to prevent future pandemics.

Donald Trump: Joe Biden ‘Created His Own Sanctuary City in the Basement’

President Donald Trump said during an interview that aired Friday on Fox News that former Vice President Joe Biden has created a sanctuary city for himself in the basement.

“He’s created his own sanctuary city in the basement of wherever he is, and he doesn’t come out,” Trump said.

The president spoke about Biden in the interview with Fox News’s Harris Faulkner. She asked Trump about Biden’s warning that Trump would steal the election and possibly refuse to give up power.

“I’m absolutely convinced they will escort him from the White House with great dispatch,” Biden said Wednesday in an interview with Daily Show host Trevor Noah.

But Trump indicated that Biden did not know what he was talking about.

“Look, Joe’s not all there. Everybody knows it, and it’s sad when you look at it,” he said. “You see it for yourself.”

Trump said he would move on if he did not win reelection in 2020.

“Certainly, if I don’t win, I go on and do other things. I think it would be very sad for our country,” he said.
