Our history has been seriously comp'd, both recent and ancient.
Our educational system is utter crap, so most Americans actually believe what they see on History Channel (and some segments of society don't even watch that), so they do not know better.
Just like Q appeals to the Christians in POTUS' base in using quotes and imagery they understand and will respond positively to, there has to be an appeal to our black fellow citizens with what they will understand and will respond positively to.
