Just finished watching the entirety of the nearly 90 minutes of body cam 1 footage. Couple things I wanted to point out before calling it a night.
First, I'm going to say that there was a lot of what would seem to be "excess" footage. However, it does give a much better perspective as to the processing aspect of the incident. For one, it makes the George Flyod incident seem all that much moar sketchy, as that FF had no "processing" outside of a hit in broad daylight, pack up and GTFO.
This body-cam footage actually shows the majority of the scene leading up to the incident. Unfortunately, the camera falls off at the exact moment of interest, in regards to the actual "incident". It's almost too perfect, at least from a conspiratorial standpoint, because any discrepancies between the other angles become nearly impossible to point out. Having said that, there was the scuffle, which likely led to the body-cam falling off. Having said that, cops do know tricks for wearing body cams, where they might "accidentally" do one thing or another, in order to prevent themselves from recording potentially incriminating evidence against themselves should something go south. Still, not entirely sold on any one the above possibilities. Just thinking out loud.
In regards to Brooks, obviously he seemed out of it. Probably drunk. He seemed a bit wobbly. But never really slurred his words or anything. He seemed more like a kid trying to come up with a story to explain to his mom why the lamp just got broke. All that said, he went from zero to Jackie Chan like it was nothing. How drunk was this man, really? Granted, he did have the element of surprise, but sure does make me wonder. I studied martial arts, briefly. Those type of skills don't come easy. Mind you, the officers are trained themselves. That shit happened QUICK!
Moving on. The officer wearing the body cam. He did seem pretty calm, for the most part, before and after. He was shaken up a bit following the incident, but seemed like he was trying his best to keep composure. As much as I don't feel like shooting the guy was entirely necessary, Brooks didn't just resist arrest, that dude went full Jackie Chan, snatched a taser and shot a cop with it. Who does that? All over a DUI? I mean, I get it. Fines are a bitch. Courts are a mother fucker. And One Time is all it takes to take your life. But that sounds more like we need to hold judges and prosecutors and legislators accountable, moar than the cops, that's for damn sure.
On last thing I wanted to point out. Anyone else feel slightly uncomfortable about THE ENTIRE footage being released? As I said, I watched the full version, and I'm a bit bothered about how much of the police building gets shown so openly over the internet. Especially right now, as there are riots going on in Hotlanta, and the sweeping trend seems to be have a bunch of anarchists ransack the city and destroy a bunch of evidence, etc. Not sure why that last part of the body cam had to be shown, as there was very little significance or relevance. Only other reason I'd imagine why they'd do that would be for the sake of transparency. Never-the-less, even though I live nowhere near that area, I'm still bothered by that last little bit of footage. It almost seems like the guy was more of a spy than a cop. Probably overthinking it, but ya never know.
Then there's this
>Guise
>Video of black man running from cops and being "killed" is green screen or a really bad fake.
Hmmmm
