He didn't know where he even was for most of that interaction. Not only that, but he was drunk in public, which is a crime, just like drunk driving.
There are videos showing how the man attacked the police, grabbed the taser, shot the officer as he was trying to run, then fought them some more. The officers kept telling him " stop fighting, stop fighting" because he was attacking the officers. The video is made by bystanders.
They watched the man: resist arrest (crime), run, grab weapon & shoot the officer, run, attack police, and then finally get shot.
What is appalling is that bystanders watched the man do all this, filmed it and then stood around screaming about how 'he dindu nuffin!!!!!!!!' and how evil "white pigs" killed an innocent, unarmed black man (who stole the weapon & shot the officer) 'for no reason whatsoever!!!!!!'.
