CPU is not the only factor that makes for speed.
You need to have enough memory for the tasks you will be doing.
You need to have a fast hard drive (solid state drive is good choice nowadays).
The I/O speed of the bus needs to be fast.
If you really want to enjoy your system, Linux gives MUCH BRISKER performance than ANY VERSION OF WINDOWS.
