Zuckerberg Tells Angry Far Left ‘Scientists’ He’s “Deeply Shaken and Disgusted” with President Trump’s Language

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg told a group of angry far left “scientists” that he also is “deeply shaken and disgusted” with President Trump’s language.

The far left ‘scientists” want President Trump and anyone who thinks like him to be banned off of the social media platform.

Again, these angry leftists are labeled “scientists.”

They want to silence anyone who does not agree with their thinking.

You have to chuckle that they claim to be “scientists.”

Gee, where have we seen this before?

Of course, Zuckerberg and Facebook have been silencing, censoring and eliminating conservative voices since 2016.

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan have responded to criticism over Facebook’s moderation policies, saying they are “deeply shaken and disgusted by President Trump’s divisive and incendiary rhetoric” on the platform.

Zuckerberg and Chan were responding to a letter sent out by more than 140 scientists who receive funding through the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. In the letter, the scientists argue that Facebook’s policies are “directly antithetical” to the philanthropic company’s mission statement and that the “spread of deliberate misinformation and divisive language” on the platform goes against what the initiative stands for.

“The spread of news that is not vetted for factual accuracy leads to confusion and a mistrust of experts,” the scientists said.

“Like many, we were disconcerted to see that Facebook has not followed their own policies in regards to President Trump, who has used the Facebook platform to spread both misinformation and incendiary statements,” they added.

They specifically cited President Donald Trump’s May 29 Facebook post in which he said “when the looting starts, the shooting starts,” something the scientists said was “a clear statement of inciting violence.”

In contrast, Trump posted the same statement to Twitter, which put it behind a content warning that it was glorifying violence.

Dozens of Facebook employees walked out in protest of Trump’s posts and called out the social-media company for not taking action against the incendiary statements.

In the letter written by Chan and Zuckerberg, which was shared to Twitter by the Recode reporter Teddy Schleifer, the billionaires say that while Trump’s comments were unsettling, Facebook operated independently from the philanthropic organization and followed its own policies on moderating the platform.

So it’s time to leave the system or be dragged into slavery by staying in it. After all, they shut down the world to cover up something “very very big.”

New York Governor Threatens Reopening Rollback over Street Drinking

New York (AFP) – New York’s governor threatened to roll back phased reopening plans Sunday after large crowds gathered outside bars in New York City in violation of coronavirus lockdown guidelines.

Andrew Cuomo said his office had received 25,000 complaints of reopening violations by businesses as New Yorkers flocked to streets to enjoy a weekend of late spring sunshine.

“Lots of violations of social distancing, parties in the street, restaurants and bars ignoring laws,” he tweeted.

“Enforce the law or there will be state action,” Cuomo warned local authorities.

New York City, the epicenter of America’s coronavirus outbreak, is in phase one of Cuomo’s four-phase reopening plan.

Restaurants and bars are allowed to offer takeaway food and drinks but are not permitted to offer outside seating until phase two, expected later this month.

Under social distancing guidelines, gatherings are meant to be capped at ten people.

It is also illegal to drink alcohol in public places in New York.

The governor retweeted a video showing hundreds of people partying in a street in Manhattan’s East Village on Friday evening with the words, “Don’t make me come down there.”

COVID-19 has killed almost 31,000 people in New York state, according to Johns Hopkins University.

At the height of the crisis in early April almost 800 people were dying a day in the state.

On Sunday, Cuomo reported that 23 state residents had succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours — a new record low.

He also said that total virus hospitalizations fell to 1,657, the lowest since March 20.

At least 7 Minneapolis police officers quit, citing lack of support from city leaders after protests

Will this become a trend around the country?

Several Minneapolis Police Department employees are quitting their law enforcement jobs because of the lack of support following the George Floyd protests. At least seven police officers have quit the MPD in the aftermath of protests, that does not include the four former cops who were involved in Floyd's death and were fired.

Current and former MPD officers told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that cops were frustrated with the way the police department and city leaders failed to support them. One particular event that bothered cops was Mayor Jacob Frey's (D) decision to abandon the Third Precinct police station. Rioters were able to ransack the police station and set the building on fire. Cops were forced to retreat.

Minneapolis Deputy Chief Henry Halvorson wrote an email earlier this month that stated some police officers have "simply walked off the job without filing the proper paperwork, creating confusion about who is still working and who isn't."

Minneapolis Police spokesman John Elder downplayed the cops who resigned. "There's nothing that leads us to believe that at this point the numbers are so great that it's going to be problematic," Elder said.

Minneapolis Police Department officials provided a statement to WCCO-TV that read: "People seek to leave employment for a myriad of reasons. The MPD is no exception. Due to these employment separations, we have not noted any indicators that would impact public safety."

"(Officers) don't feel appreciated," Mylan Masson, a retired Minneapolis officer and use-of-force expert, said. "Everybody hates the police right now. I mean everybody."

Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was fired and charged with second-degree murder. Three other MPD officers involved in the arrest of George Floyd have been fired and charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder.

The Minneapolis City Council passed a resolution to replace the police department with a "community safety" model last week.

Two weeks ago, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) joined the movement to defund the police.

"The Minneapolis Police Department has proven themselves beyond reform," Omar said. "It's time to disband them and reimagine public safety in Minneapolis."

"Police violence is a threat to public safety," the Democratic congresswoman said. "We must allocate resources to ensure that all instances of death or injury in police custody are adequately and independently reviewed."

"You can't really reform a department that is rotten to the root," Omar said during an appearance on CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday.

"What you can do is rebuild. And so this is our opportunity, you know, as a city, to come together, have the conversation of what public safety looks like, who enforces the most dangerous crimes that place in our community," she added. "What we are saying is, the current infrastructure that exists as policing in our city should not exist anymore."

Last week, officers of the Hallandale Beach Police Department were so angered by their chief kneeling with protesters that every member of the SWAT team resigned.

Tulsa Police Maj. Travis Yates warned that the defund the police movement and anti-police sentiment would cause a mass exodus in law enforcement.

Top House Democrat throws cold water on far-left 'defund the police' movement

'Nobody is going to defund the police'

House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.) says police will not be defunded.

In the wake of George Floyd's tragic death, progressive Democrats, including Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), are supporting a movement to defund and abolish police departments. They claim systematic oppression is central to the DNA of modern policing, thwarting attempts at reform.

However, the third-in-command House Democrat told CNN host Jake Tapper on "State of the Union" Sunday that the wildly unpopular movement will not succeed.

"Nobody is going to defund the police," Clyburn said.

nstead, Clyburn said criminal justice reform must "restructure" and "re-imagine" policing.

"We can restructure the police forces, restructure, re-imagine policing. That is what we are going to do. The fact of the matter is, the police have a role to play," Clyburn explained. "What we have got to do is make sure that their role is one that meets the times, one that responds to these communities that they operate in."

"I didn't grow up in fear of police, even in a segregated environment. We never feared the police. But, all of a sudden now, I do fear the police," he continued.

"The fact of the matter is, this is a structure that has been developed that we have got to deconstruct," Clyburn said. "So, I wouldn't say defund. Deconstruct our policing."

Take the Knee, Or Else! UK Police Force Warns 'Trouble' for Officers Not Showing Solidarity With BLM

Whether or not police officers should ‘take the knee’ has become the subject of widespread debate throughout the UK and US. However, one police force in Britain may have now taken things to a new, and potentially troubling, level.

A UK police force has called upon its officers to “take the knee” as a gesture of solidarity with Black Lives Matter (BLM) protestors, or risk facing potential consequences, according to The Daily Mail.

Hertfordshire Constabulary told officers in a recent operational briefing that those who don’t kneel at rallies “may become the focus of the protestors’ attention.”

“Officers are to be mindful that this [kneeling] is optional and those who do not do so may become the focus of the protestors attention. Any officer who does take the knee must be cognisant of the operational circumstances and to their own, colleagues and public safety,” the briefing states.

The briefing also points out that when officers decide to take the knee it has a “very positive and engaging effect” and a “positive reaction on the protest groups.”

‘Taking the knee’ has become a symbolic act among BLM supporters, and one that they encourage others to do following the murder of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who was killed by a white Minneapolis policeman on May 25 2020.

Yet, there are those who do not agree with the police taking such an explicitly political position.

An unnamed senior detective told the Mail on Sunday that, “it’s absurd. Will officers be expected to make similarly appeasing gestures at political events, far-right protests, for instance?”

The Labour Party’s former Home Secretary, David Blunkett, has also issued words of caution, arguing in The Daily Mail that if police start engaging in such politicised conduct in order to appease BLM protestors, then there is a risk that those officers who refuse to join in may be unfairly accused of racism.

“I am concerned that the gesture of kneeling, though prompted by the best instincts, might give the perception of undermining the role of the police in such situations,” he wrote last week.

“They [the police] are there to ensure a safe demonstration, not to make political statements.” He went on to say that many Brits, “may have been left deeply uneasy at the sight of police kneeling before a protesting crowd… If they attend rallies on their own time, I would have no problem with police making symbolic gestures of solidarity with anti-racists. But it is a different matter when they don thier uniform,” Mr Blunkett added.

Hertfordshire police force came under heavy scrutiny last week over the way it handled BLM protests in the town of Hoddesdon. A group of counter-demonstrators reportedly disrupted the protests by shouting racist abuse. A video from the scene - in which one man can be heard yelling “go back to Africa” - went viral in the Twittersphere. Although police at the scene positioned themselves between the two groups of demonstrators, there was later an eruption of anger that no arrests were made. The force is now said to be carrying out an investigation into the incident.

‘This Is America, This Is Not CHAZ’: American Flag-Bearing Demonstrators Cause Uproar Within Seattle’s Autonomous Zone

CAPITAL HILL AUTONOMOUS ZONE (CHAZ) — Flag-bearing Americans caused an uproar within Seattle’s “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ) as they tried to enter the area to protest Saturday afternoon, according to Daily Caller reporters on the ground.

Katie Daviscourt and a man who asked to be referred to as Maximus X arrived at the outskirts of CHAZ, the area that has been taken over by protesters and deemed a cop-free zone, with two giant American flags Saturday. The duo was accused by some of being white supremacists and members of the right-wing organization Proud Boys, but they both said they were simply there to show support for America and peacefully protest.

“We’re standing up for our freedoms as Americans. This is America, this is not CHAZ,” Daviscourt, the Washington/Oregon representative for Turning Point USA, told people as they marched around the perimeter of the commune.

Daviscourt and Maximus were allowed to enter CHAZ after heated arguments and were followed by a large crowd. The two were heckled by CHAZ occupants and some accused Maximus, who is black, of being a traitor to his race. Daviscourt told occupants that she was there to support Maximus, who also said he’s an Air Force veteran.

The already-tense situation quickly escalated, with one person throwing liquid onto the American flag and another person stealing Daviscourt’s flag. The crowd then began to gather closer around the duo as they marched, although some CHAZ occupants were trying to keep the peace.

After heated arguments inside Cal Anderson Park, part of the area now within CHAZ borders, the occupants began to force the American flag-bearing people out of the commune. The situation was tense, with various arguments and chants of “Black Lives Matter” breaking out.

At one point, a person in the crowd tried to steal the second American flag from Maximus. A third unknown man who appeared to be guarding the duo regained control of the American flag, holding it close to his body as the fight continued.

Some protesters appeared to help diffuse the situation, and Daviscourt, Maximus and the third man were run out of CHAZ. They were chased for multiple blocks outside of the border, eventually escaping in a car.
