As a nocturnal bird of prey, the owl is linked with darkness, death, wisdom and witchcraft. Australian Aboriginals believe owls represent women's souls. Other cultures believe that owls swoop down to Earth to eat the souls of the dying. The owl is also the symbol of Minerva/Athena, who can see in the dark.

Ya, I've said before how funny it is that all these new age spiritual people are happy to talk about the "earth mother goddess" but as soon as you mention "God" from the Bible, it's like you just uttered total blasphemy. And recall that whole "theological" movement a while back that argued God was actually a woman. I believe we are all born equal and in the right of self-determination, but feminism was part of an occult campaign to erase the divine masculine spirit in society - that is, to erase God.

Interesting that so many cultures have similar conceptions of the same animal/symbol. Australian aboriginals also have a lot of lore about "the rainbow snake," which seems to have a lot of correlations with other spiritual stories from around the world, including the Bible. As for owls, well I do love them as beautiful creatures. But the symbology is undeniable. My personal theory is that satanic worshipers somehow use certain animals for their own purposes, but the animal itself isn't evil. An animal is only an animal. It is perfect in its unquestioning animal-ness. But an animal may not have a "choice" either (unlike mankind) and can be "used". Just a theory.
