HCQ and Chloroquine can be definitely be legally prescribed for Covid use by US physicians

POTUS news conference, FOX NEWS ~4:05 pm

Reporter just asked POTUS about the recent FDA notice on hydroxychlorine

That it's [supposedly] "no longer considered as a reasonable treatment for Covid"

POTUS defers to Sec'y Alex Azar:

Azar:

To clarify your stmt, which is not quite accurate:

The FDA withdrew an emergency use authorization of chloroquine from Bayer mfg'd in Pakistan -

where emergency authorization was restricted to hospital use only

So they took the emergency use only authorization off.

"At this point HCQ and chloroquine are just like any other approved drug in the United States

they may be used in hospitals, they may be used in out-patients, they may be used at home"

"all subject to a doctor's prescription."

Furthermore, says that it's good that the emergency use authorization was removed,

because it had been widely misinterpreted as saying that

these drugs could ONLY be use in-hospital when this was NOT true.

here's one acct but how slanted is it?

https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/502748-fda-withdraws-emergency-use-authorization-for-hydroxychloroquine

from this article:

However, because the drugs are on the market and approved for other uses,

it could still be prescribed for "off-label" use in COVID patients.

Have to leave soon, may not get to look at the letter before then. Shucks.

Here's the FDA letter:

https://www.fda.gov/media/138945/download

"DA has concluded that, based on this new information and other information discussed in the attached memorandum, it is no longer reasonable to believe that oral formulations of HCQ and CQ may be effective in treating COVID-19, nor is it reasonable to believe that the known and potential benefits of these products outweigh their known and potential risks. Accordingly, FDA revokes the EUA for emergency use of HCQ and CQ to treat COVID-19, pursuant to section 564(g)(2) of the Act. As of the date of this letter, the oral formulations of HCQ and CQ are no longer authorized by FDA to treat COVID-19.

So FDA makes it sounds like HCQ does not work.

But see quote from the Hill:

>>9624061

FDA does NOT prohibit the use of HCQ.

that's the bottom line

>>9624076 just found this. yes, it's HIGHLY DECEPTIVE. Deep State fighting for its life!!
