My analysis of the report:
It seems to me that the “Adaptive Capacity” continuum has some relationship to the continuum between “service to self” and “service to others.” Totalitarianism is a service to self construct, created either by leaders or a populous with that orientation or a combination of the two. A leader with a service to others orientation (Pres. Trump, for instance) cannot effectively lead a populous oriented toward service to self without assisting them in changing toward a service to others orientation.
The “Global Political and Economic Alignment” continuum relates to the level of unity in society. The ability to attain the ideal of “Clever Together” depends on the pervasiveness of the service to others orientation. Where significant service to self orientation exists, unity will lead to “Lock Step” instead. This diagram clearly shows that unity WITHOUT a service to others orientation is dangerous.
The problem we have is that service to self entities are masquerading as having service to others orientation, and people are being fooled by this. So these entities must be exposed for what they are.
