Assumption: Parole is like a probationary period after release where if you get in trouble again, the charges get elevated. That's it. Just elevated. Not like he'd have done "years" for that, right?

 

The dude I was talking about supposedly served 2 years 8 months for getting in a fist fight while on parole.

Maybe I got lied to. Maybe there was more to the "fist fight" than I was told. I dunno. That's why I asked.

 

The point: If Brooks was anticipating going back to jail, after spending several years in there more than a couple times, he should have known a DUI wasn't going to be that bad.

Eluding arrest, assault on an officer, and assault on an officer with a weapon, and all the peripheral charges I didn't name will get you some real time though.

 

Seems getting caught doing stupid shit is a pattern of behavior for him.

If it didn't happen that night, it would have happened eventually.

That should save those cops' jobs
