As I suspected, take a look at how quick my post got jumped on.

Now, think for a minute. WHO hates America and Jews?

Soleimani was a terrorist general who hated Israel and prayed to die a martyr

Jan 3, 2020 | News

Last night, the US carried out a targeted killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.

This article explains that Soleimani was responsible for the killing of hundreds of American forces. He was the military commander overseeing the terrorist group Hezbollah. According to Iran, he lived “40 years of Jihad”. According to his own words, he encouraged Jihad and martyrdom and even prayed for his own martyrdom. He hated Israel and praised attacks against Jews. He was planning imminent attacks on US diplomats in Iraq.

If anyone tells you he was a good man or that the US was wrong for killing him, show them this article.

The way the Iranians are describing Soleimani speaks volumes about who this man was.

Soleimani was a public figure in Iran. Iran’s media lionized Soleimani, praising him as the “Saviour of Iraq” in 2014. Many Iranians knew that he was a close friend of Ayatollah Khamenei and was even regarded as his protégé. His killing, therefore, sent shockwaves through the country (or at least those in the country who support the Iranian regime).

Video footage emerged this morning from an Iranian mosque where the imam speaking to the crowd announced the death of Soleimani. This prompted a reaction of shock and even crying from the men gathered.

Iran And Italy Are Paying A Hefty Price For Close Ties With Communist China

–By Helen Raleigh

MARCH 17, 2020–

Iran and Italy's economies are worsening, and their people are suffering most in this Wuhan virus outbreak — all because of their leaders’ short-sighted and foolish decisions.

The coronavirus that originated in Wuhan, China, has now swept through 126 countries, infected close to 170,000 people worldwide, and is responsible for more than 6,400 deaths as of March 15. China is leading the world in the number of confirmed cases and deaths. What many people find shocking is that Italy and Iran are the second- and third-hardest hit nations in this outbreak.

By any common-sense measure, both countries should have much lower numbers of confirmed cases and deaths because they are geographically far from the epicenter of the outbreak. The reason these two countries are suffering the most outside China is mainly due to their close ties with Beijing, primarily through the “One Belt and One Road” (OBOR) initiative.

OBOR is Beijing’s foreign policy play disguised as infrastructure investment. Here’s how it works: China and country X agree to do an infrastructure project in country X. Country X has to borrow from a Chinese bank to finance the project. A contract is always awarded to Chinese companies, which then bring supplies and Chinese employees to country X to build the project. Clearly, the country that benefits most from this initiative is China.

The OBOR provides new markets and consistent demand for China’s goods and services, creates employment opportunities for Chinese workers, and gives China access to strategically important locations and natural resources. Beijing’s real objective is to leverage its newly gained financial power to greatly expand its geopolitical influence as well as its economic and military footing from Asia to Europe and Africa.

While this initiative has worked out well for China’s strategic interests, it hasn’t done the same for participating countries. At least eight countries that signed on the OBOR initiative are so indebted to the Chinese that they had to hand over their strategic assets to China to offset their debt. Despite these worrisome precedents, leaders in both Italy and Iran eagerly signed up to OBOR in 2019, hoping the red capital from Communist China would rescue their nations from economic woes. Now they are paying a dear price for it.

China and Iran: a relationship built on trade, weapons and oil

–Kristin Huang

Published: 7:30am, 9 Jan, 2020–

Beijing supplied military hardware to Tehran in the Iran-Iraq war and has been among its top three arms suppliers in the past decade

China remains Iran’s top trade partner, but oil imports slumped after US sanctions

Amid its long-running conflict with the US, Iran has increasingly turned to China for aid to boost its military and to help protect its economy from trade sanctions imposed by Washington.

The strong ties between Beijing and Tehran have been evident in recent days as tensions have risen in the Middle East, triggered by the killing of Iran’s top military chief Qassem Soleimani by the US in Iraq. Tehran responded with a missile attack on US forces in Iraq.

China’s envoy to Iran, Chang Hua, has said Beijing remained committed to its partnership with Tehran. Zhai Jun, China’s special representative for the Middle East, visited Tehran for a security dialogue on Monday and Tuesday, when he said some “external nations” were stirring provocations, without naming the US.

China remains Iran’s biggest trading partner, but its oil imports from the country have fallen sharply as a result of US sanctions. In November 2019, the last available data, China imported 547,758 tonnes of Iranian oil, down from 3.07 million tonnes in April, according to China’s General Administration of Customs. Trade between China and Iran in 2018 totaled US$35.13 billion, with crude oil accounting for about half, or US$15 billion.

In 2018, US President Donald Trump pulled out of an agreement aimed at curtailing Iran’s nuclear development programme and reimposed crippling sanctions on its economy.

Iran and China are using the George Floyd protests to undermine US criticism of their own authoritarianism

–Sinéad Baker Jun 2, 2020, 4:04 AM

America's adversaries are using the protests over George Floyd's death to dismiss US criticism of their own authoritarianism.

Iran used the backlash against the US government and law enforcement to undermine the US's criticisms of how it treats its own citizens and protesters.

And China is accusing the US of hypocrisy for urging it to listen to pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong.

Iran and China are using the protests that have swept the US after George Floyd's death to undermine the US's criticism of their own authoritarianism.

The death of Floyd, a black man who died after a Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck for several minutes. has sparked anti-police brutality protests in as many as 140 cities. It has also sparked solidarity protests in countries around the world.

President Donald Trump has largely failed to calm the protesters, telling governors instead that they are "weak" and urged them to "dominate" the demonstrations. On Monday, police in Washington, DC, used tear gas on peaceful protesters in a park near the White House so Trump could go to a nearby church to take photos.

China Wants To Save Iran Nuclear Deal As It Leaves Their Oil Market Behind

Jan 6, 2020,12:10pm EST

China’s top foreign policy officials scolded President Trump’s January 3 hit on Iranian general Kassam Soleimani over the weekend, vowing to do what they could to keep nuclear weapons out of Iran’s hands.

Geng Shuang, a spokesman for China’s foreign ministry, told the local press on Monday that Iran was basically “forced” to end its commitment to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action after the death of Soleimani by drone strike outside of a Baghdad airport last week. Geng said that by doing so, however, they would be in violation of their non-proliferation obligations.

The South China Morning Post reported Geng saying that, “China will continue to maintain close communication and coordination with all related parties, and will take relentless efforts” to save the nuclear deal and avoid greater conflict in the Gulf.

The Iran nuclear deal was signed under then-president Barack Obama in the summer of 2015. But the deal has had its critics ever since, with some saying the U.S. was basically bribing Iran not to enrich uranium for nuclear weaponry.

Iran has been fighting a proxy war with the United States and its allies since the fall of the Washington-backed Shah of Iran. Soleimani was a lead soldier in that fight, and has since climbed the ranks to lead the elite Quds Force. He was blamed by Washington for leading a militia attack on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad on December 31.

China’s Great Game in Iran

BY ALEX VATANKA | SEPTEMBER 5, 2019, 2:21 PM

Tehran needs a friend. Beijing may be a dangerous one.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif’s visit to the G-7 summit in France late last month was a surprise to many in the West. Some even viewed it as a good omen. But for the Iranian leadership, Zarif’s quick trip to Biarritz was always a long shot and with little chance to turn the tide in the U.S.-Iranian standoff. Such doubts were confirmed in the days that followed. U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration still refuses to lift sanctions on Iranian oil, and Tehran will not engage in direct talks with Washington until some unequivocal relief from sanctions is first provided by the U.S. side.

Feel-good symbolism aside, Zarif departed Biarritz empty-handed. His next trip held more promise, anyway. Before he even arrived in Beijing, Zarif had already put pen to paper for China’s prominent Global Times. His call in that op-ed for consolidating what he labeled a “strategic partnership” with China is a recurrent aspiration of the leadership in Iran. But despite Tehran’s deep need for Beijing to come to its rescue, the prevailing view there is that a qualitatively different relationship with the Chinese government is needed before Iran can commit itself to becoming China’s anchor in Western Asia. The question is how China sees its own long-term interests in Iran.

https://foreignpolicy.com/2019/09/05/chinas-great-game-in-iran/

The thing I find interesting here is that if I remember right, some of the players in the Iran Nuke deal were mainly European big shots and have tried to keep it going. After reading this, it makes me wonder if they are all in cahoots with the same goal, the exploitation of Iran for its natural resources, high population, decent infrastructure and a relatively untapped market.

Sounds like a great opportunity for someone who wants to get even richer to me.

China's Giant $400 Billion Iran Investment Complicates U.S. Options

Sep 19, 2019,08:40am EDT

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called violent attacks on Saudi oil infrastructure in Abqaiq and Khurais “an act of war,” as evidence suggests that Iran is the culprit. This marks the most dangerous escalation between the U.S. and Iran since the seizure of the American embassy in Tehran. However, this confrontation has major implications for the growing U.S. – China strategic rivalry.

Amidst historic U.S. – Iran tensions, Beijing is doubling-down on its strategic partnership with Tehran, ignoring U.S. efforts to isolate the Islamic Republic from global markets. Following an August visit by Iran Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to Beijing, the two countries agreed to update a 25-year program signed in 2016, to include an unprecedented $400 billion of investment in the Iranian economy – sanctions be damned.
