And if history has taught us anything, it's when people are not punished for doing wrong, the wrongs not only continue, but they wax worse and worse and worse.
The punishment must always fit the crime. And we are talking about some of the worst crimes in history!
If we want to assert we are a good and a just people, the perpetrators of these horrible—in many cases, unspeakable—crimes must be punished appropriately.
And all people must be made aware of these punishments as a warning to anyone who might consider doing the same.
