Thanks to "Big Tech", everyone thinks they have all the answers, just because they saw a 10 second video from a surveillance camera or someone’s cell phone, all of which can be easily faked and/or edited.

Society used to respect the basic human right of “presumption of innocence” and “right to a fair trial”. Not anymore. Every capsulized publicized incident nowadays, incites an unjustified illogical immediate public internet trial, and no one is immune from prosecution and persecution.

Public debate over this particular incident and others like it are simply perverted. No one that is weighing in now, based on what they have seen on the internet or on TV, has a fraction of the facts required to hand down a final fair and just verdict for anyone involved in the case.

If politicians weren’t so busy trying to perpetually win every next election, we might actually get some legislation to protect the public for a change, like finding a way to limit the absurd frequency of amateur videos of assaults and murders publicized online that result in public internet trials and societal conflicts as a result.

Everyone wants the truth, but not everyone is a truth teller.
