I actually believe what he says to be true. He doesn't exagerrate over time, it isn't a flattering story of how he got kicked off the program (wife cheating) and he didn't make a business out of it. Back when the story came out the disinfo was all about him not being a scientist at all, and now the goal posts keep moving in people's mind.
