One time I did a really stupid thing. I was trying to turn left at a light and it was turning so I swerved into the straight lane and blew through the light and was going to hook a u and turn right and a LEO saw me the whole time. After he looked at my papers and I admitted how stupid it was he said - Hey - were you wearing your seat belt? I told him yes. He said - Are you sure because no seatbelt is a ticket with no points… I sat there for a moment and FINALLY realized he was being nice and writing me a ticket with no points and less of a fine than my stupid moving violation.
