Sadly, Steinbacher passed away a few years ago.

Hearing his lecture was the first thing that comforted me after months of freaking out when I first the scale of the scars on Earth. I really wasn't getting the answers I was looking for from anyone else. It made me feel crazy for thinking I was the only one who actually saw this. Then, I began thinking it was known, but nobody wanted to talk about it. Finally, I realized no one had addressed it because they haven't fully understood the mechanisms that were at play.

Scary as shit to think about what could possibly scar the Earth to the point it actually shaped entire continents. Especially, when you aren't quite sure if it's something that might possibly happen again. It's crazy once you actually realize the same Force responsible for reshaping the entire Earth amidst a cataclysm is actually the same Force that ultimately protected our planet from total destruction that would've occurred from a head on collision between planetary bodies.. For those lucky or unfortunate enough to witness such an event, I understand why they would consider their survival to be "miraculous".
