I'm an American. Served for America and will continue to do so. Just from a cultural standpoint, it destabilizes a ton of what I assumed to be true about my ancestry. You start to question every detail of your life, gatherings, everything. Even stupid stuff like, "When my grandma would chase me around as a kid was she being perverted or having fun?" Honestly even dumb stuff like that I would question. Eventually I just stopped worrying about it all and figured all of the worlds past is probably bullshit so why bother?
