That picture is the picture of the 2nd lighthouse built… on top of the destroyed ruins of the old one…
The original dates back to Egyptian times…and lit to the other side, landmass…. was very tall and supposedly shone for 500 years ( or there about) before it was destroyed.
A left over from ancient days.
