I was at your stage for a while. After years of that, I just couldn’t enjoy movies anymore. Even if I ignore the mind control attempts, I’m in a room full of people who are eagerly soaking it in. Not enjoyable.

My dad sheepishly told me he enjoys watching the hallmark channel with his 2nd wife, but it’s ok because he doesn’t buy in to all that stuff. That same day, he referenced movies from that channel to show me that it’s okay that he lost contact with his family and got divorced. Its okay that he ignored his children while they grew up. It’s happening to everyone and it’s very common, it’s even in all the movies. Totally normal, he says.
