The internet slams CNN for erecting protective barrier at headquarters: 'CNN built a wall'
CNN has been relentlessly fixated and critical of President Donald Trump's border wall ever since he made it a centerpiece of his 2016 campaign. There are 2,094 results on CNN's website under the search of "Trump border wall." On Twitter, CNN host Chris Cuomo has dozens of tweets lambasting Trump's wall on the U.S. southern border.
A January 2017 tweet from CNN's official Twitter account reads: "'BUILD BRIDGES NOT WALLS': Protests around the world during President Trump's #inauguration."
A January 2019 CNN opinion piece said: "In the same way, the wall may be becoming a 'clash of absolutes' that crystallizes the key 21st-century cultural divide over the nation's growing ethnic and racial diversity."
CNN sent White House correspondent Jim Acosta to the U.S.âMexico border, where he attempted to show that walls don't work. However, the field trip to the wall backfired stupendously.
In a strange twist of hypocrisy, CNN has erected its own "wall" of sorts.
Three weeks ago, riots erupted in the city of Atlanta, and the violence spread to CNN's headquarters. Rioters destroyed glass, spray-painted graffiti on the huge "CNN" sign, and attempted to breach the cable TV news network's headquarters.
Following last weekend's deadly police shooting of Rayshard Brooks at a Wendy's drive-thru in Atlanta, the city is bracing for more protests and possibly riots. As of Friday afternoon, crowds had already begun to assemble outside the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta.
Julio Rosas, senior writer at Townhall, was on the ground in Atlanta on Friday and noticed that the CNN headquarters has some new additions since the riots weeks ago. Most notable was a protective barrier set up to keep people out of CNN.
CNN witnessed first-hand the destruction that violent riots can cause. The cable news network, rightfully, wants to keep unwanted intruders from entering their facility. CNN decided that building a wall is the best method to keep outsiders out.
The internet was quick to point out the hypocrisy of CNN building a reinforced fence to protect its headquarters, including Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), who lampooned the network by saying, "WaLLs dOn'T wOrK."

Facebook âFact-Checkerâ Is Staffed by Democrat Donors, Ex-CNN Fake News Employees
Who fact-checks the fact-checkers?
After one its stories was dubiously slapped with a âpartly falseâ rating from Facebook fact-checking partner Lead Stories, The National Pulse dug into the platformâs staff and found that many, including the top brass, are Democratic Party donors and former CNN employees.
Lead Stories is described as âa web-based fact-checking platform that identifies false or misleading stories, rumors, and conspiracies by using its Trendolizer technology to identify trending content that is then fact-checked by their team of journalists.â
The platform serves as one of Facebookâs partners for fact-checking content shared by users. According to The National Pulse, 50 percent of Lead Storiesâ staff have been affiliated with CNN. Together, they total more than 100 years of experience with Cable News Network.
The National Pulse discovered Lead Storiesâ strong left-wing bias after the group marked as âpartly falseâ an article examining Black Lives Matterâs ties to the Democratic Party, despite BLMâs assertion of political neutrality.
The article noted that the Black Lives Matter website partners with the Democrat fundraising platform ActBlue, which also serves as a top donor to Joe Biden.
Lead Stories claims in its âHoax Alertâ section that The National Pulseâs reporting falls short of the truth because ACtBlue is merely a âpayment processorâ and is thus not affiliated with Joe Biden for President.
But as the article points out, ActBlue exclusively works with Democrats; Black Lives Matterâs use of the platform, rather than a more neutral option such as GoFundMe, shows a clear partisan alignment.
The National Pulse contacted Lead Storiesâ editor-in-chief Alan Duke, who told the outlet he could not discuss the issue of the fact-check over the phone, saying only that appeals must be made by e-mail (but without providing an e-mail address).
Now whenever someone shares that story on Facebook, they see a message that reads âIndependent fact-checkers at Lead Stories say information in your post is partly false. To stop the spread of false news, weâve added a notice to your post.â
The message then goes on to say, âAll fact-checkers who partner with Facebook must be signatories of the International Fact-Checking Network and follow their Code of Principles.â
A look at IFCNâs Code of Principles reveals that in the very first principle, fact-checkers are required to make âa commitment to non-partisanship and fairness.â
Despite that commitment, the makeup of Lead Storiesâ staff is the very essence of âpartisanship.â
As The National Pulse notes:
While many on the left and the establishment right insist âbig tech biasâ is non-existent, the background of and individuals involved with Lead Stories suggests otherwise.
Lead Stories Chairman and founder Perry Sanders is a devout Democrat, donating over $10,000 to political campaigns â every penny going to Democratic candidates.
Sanders donated $3,700 to Hilary Clintonâs presidential campaign and gave $4,000 to Obamaâs 2008 presidential effort.
The left-wing connections go beyond Sanders, who is also known as Michael Jacksonâs family lawyer.
Victoria Eavis, a writer for the site, has also donated via ActBlue, writer Alexis Tereszcuk donated twice to the Clinton campaign in 2016 totaling $500, $25 via ActBlue, and $250 to failed Democratic congressional candidate Nick Leibham.
Writer Gita Smith appears to have donated 99 times amounting to $1,839.82 to Democratic campaigns.⌠Smith also donated to Swing Left, a hard-left political group formed in reaction to the election of President Trump intent on âdefeating Trump.â
Notably, no donations from Lead Stories staff were made to Republicans.
Then thereâs Lead Storiesâ managing editor Eric Ferkenhoff, who has implied President Trump is a âwhite nationalistâ and openly criticized him.
Editor-in-chief Alan Duke worked as a CNN reporter and editor for nearly 30 years, Senior Editor Monte Plott was also a former news editor for CNN digital news for more than a decade, and six other writers and fact-checkers have also worked for the left-leaning cable news outlet.
The National Pulse reached out to Facebook about the clear bias of its fact-checking partner. The social-media giant responded that their fact-checkers are certified by IFCN.
The Poynter Institute, which runs IFCN, is funded by various progressive entities, such as George Sorosâ Open Society Foundations.
At this point, earnest truth-seekers are almost better off reading stories the establishment fact-checkers have labeled âfalseâ than those marked âtrue.â

The Statue of Communist Butcher Vladimir Lenin in Seattle Still Stands â Why?
Monuments, Memorials, and the Mob Mentality
Weâve reached a breaking point with cancel culture.
Weâve seen extremists topple and deface historic statues of Christopher Columbus and Sir Winston Churchill. Thousands have signed a petition to remove a statue in Boston featuring Lincoln and a freed slave. Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben are now canceled.
Cancel culture has come for the childrenâs show âPaw Patrol.â They tried to cancel Dominoâs Pizza simply for tweeting thanks to White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany 8 years ago for a compliment she tweeted at them. Next on the list will be classic shows like Seinfeld, characters like Barney Fife, and monuments for Washington and Jefferson.
Donât be mistaken, actions like the banning of the Confederate flag by NASCAR was a move in the right direction. That flag is commonly viewed as representative of hatred in America. Itâs entirely fair for businesses and companies to decide that allowing the Confederate flag to fly allows the wrong message to be perpetuated.
The same goes for the removal of statues dedicated to Confederate generals. For those on the right who claim to hate the snowflake culture that thrives on participation trophies, isnât that exactly what these statues represent? Rather than allowing Confederate monuments and statues to be brought down in protest, cities could peaceably take them down and place them in a civil war museum where their past display would be taught as a part of their history.
But where does it stop? The mob is no longer merely seeking to rectify racial injustice. Theyâve commandeered a movement in favor of the preferred cancel culture. The short answer is, for the mob it will never stop. They have been indoctrinated to hate America and view it as the root of all evil.
Weâve reached the point of damnatio memoriae â a Latin phrase meaning condemnation of memory. Itâs the total erasure of something from history as though it never existed.
What else could explain defacing the Robert Gould Shaw and the 54th Regiment Memorial honoring the first all-volunteer black regiment in the Union Army? Think about that. A memorial was destroyed honoring black individuals fighting under the American flag and carrying the American flag in the Civil War.
Only the complete hatred of America could explain the defacing of a statue in Philadelphia dedicated to Matthias Baldwin, an American abolitionist. This was a person talking about black lives mattering 150 years before it became trendy to post a black square on social media. The destruction certainly wasnât in the name of advancing African American causes.
Weâre seeing the Lincoln Memorial defaced, yet a statue in Seattle of Vladimir Lenin, a man in the conversation with Hitler and Stalin when it comes to evil, completely unscathed. Thereâs no rhyme or reason for the destruction.
Weâve advanced beyond removing Confederate memorials, statues, and flags to a predominately white, uninformed group of liberals destroying any statue they come across with zero consistency. Thereâs an obsession with attacking history without realizing in many cases theyâre attacking good history.
Would these people not have spray-painted graves at Arlington Cemetery if there wasnât a fence? Would we be outraged if such a thing occurred? I can assure you that a gold star mother would not be pleased to show up and see the grave of her child defaced. If you think itâs far-fetched, just look at the World War 2 Memorial in Washington, DC or the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the American Revolution in Philadelphia.
Just as no person is perfect, nations arenât perfect. That includes America. Luckily, we live in a society where those past and current imperfections can be discussed openly, reflected upon, learned from, and rectified in the future to help form âa more perfect union.â
It is an impossible standard to meet when you attempt to hold people from centuries ago to the current standards of today, which have evolved over those years. Heaven forbid weâre judged by the standards of the world 500 years from now when they look back on us.
Removing Confederate monuments is one thing, but if we continue down the current path of advocating for the cancelation of Paw Patrol and George Washington how far will it go?
Learning about our history, the way it has evolved, and what it represents is important. Itâs important to understand our mistakes of the past. Yet, all of those capitulating to the mob hoping to be spared, will still become future targets. The mob has already canceled those simply for daring to offer a dissenting opinion. If we donât reign in the cancel culture now, we risk having nothing left.

Care to expound? Or just shillin?
Haspel's a black hat, imo.
You have an IQ of less than 70, right, retard? Here let me help you understand what I just wrote:
Subaverage intellectual functioning:
Intelligence quotient (I.Q.) tests are designed to measure intellectual functioning. An I.Q. score provides a rough numerical assessment of an individual's present level of mental functioning in comparison with that of others. The vast majority of people in the United States have I.Q.s between 80 and 120, with an I.Q. of 100 considered average. To be diagnosed as having mental retardation, a person must have an I.Q. below 70-75, i.e. significantly below average. If a person scores below 70 on a properly administered and scored I.Q. test, he or she is in the bottom 2 percent of the American population10 and meets the first condition necessary to be defined as having mental retardation."

Oh, and a dictionary is a book, optical disc, mobile device, or online lexical resource (such as Dictionary.com) containing a selection of the words of a language, giving information about their meanings, pronunciations, etymologies, inflected forms, derived forms, etc., expressed in either the same or another language; lexicon; glossary. Print dictionaries of various sizes, ranging from small pocket dictionaries to multivolume books, usually sort entries alphabetically, as do typical CD or DVD dictionary applications, allowing one to browse through the terms in sequence. All electronic dictionaries, whether online or installed on a device, can provide immediate, direct access to a search term, its meanings, and ancillary information
Here is the definition of subaverage: of a lower level or quality than some norm : below average
How's that for a little humor, Ignoramus? Look that word up, too, while you're at it.
All utilities should be cut off. All services shut off, etc. Let them figure it out for themselves.
We need someone to infiltrate the BLM/Antifa protestors/monument destroyers and get them to tear down the Georgia Guidestones. I'd pay good money for that!
